10/10 First time at Chickpea - Edit
WOWOWOWOW I’m so mad at myself for not trying Chickpea sooner! Thank you to the people behind the Plant Curious coupon book for making me explore the city of delicious vegan food.
Read moreI got the platter with the roasted cauliflower and it was sooooo much food for one person! It came with a nice fresh mixed greens salad, 3 pita, hummus topped with crispy chickpeas, and of course LOTS OF CHICKPEA FRIES! They tasted like a mix between cassava and taro. They were sooooo delicious and addicting with the sauce they add on them. I didn’t expect a whole roasted cauliflower and it was sooo flavourful with the sauces and marinade. I had enough to pack up for my lunch the next day.
Pros: Cute easy to read menu and so many options!, Fun cocktail and mocktail menus, Big portions

Busy and delicious - Edit
I looked on the wall and saw a special called the London fog Milkshake and ordered it on a whim. It was pretty fantastic. The french toast was hard to cut and very sugary but I ate it anyway. Stomach ache afterward from all the sugar. My daughter was not a fan of her sausage but ate the bacon. They were understaffed and kept people waiting at the door but many takeout bags of brunch were going out the door. I would like to try the savory breakfast or the pancakes. The menu is so large it is hard to choose.

Big portions no matter if you get a pita, rice bowl, etc. Fantastic flavors and the "chickpea fries" are fantastic with a crispiness unlike any other fry I've ever had.

I adore chickpea, been here many times and always love their food! The new breakfast menu is so delicious, especially the benechicks. Had a mistake on my take out once but they were more than happy to give me a discount for my next visit. Always delicious and so everything tastes fresh like the salad and dips. more unique flavours than other vegan restaurants near by 😋

Best vegan breakfast! - Edit
This is the best full vegan breakfast we have ever had. We had the tofu scramble with bacado and the shnitzel waffle benechick. There are so many options and they serve breakfast all day! We will be going back to try other menu items.

Chickpeas food is absolutely 5/5! - Edit
Love the food, absolutely amazing! Have only been to the sit down restaurant once after being to the food truck many times. The staff at at the brick and mortar leaves so much to be desired. Our server had the personality of the white crayon that never gets used. They was quite abrasive and rude, it felt like we were inconveniencing her to be there. It was a really unfortunate experience but according to the google reviews, it’s not an uncommon one. If you prefer to get decent service, go to the truck if you can.

There were so many delicious sounding dishes on the menu that I'm going to have to go back at least 10 times! My Truffled N'Oyster Platter was fabulous, and the chickpea fries are unbelievably good! Crunchy on the outside, soft inside, and high in protein. Oh my! #Veganuary

I love love love Israeli food and to have a fully vegan Israeli restaurant is a dream! The portions are huge here! I wanted to do the “little bit of everything” option but they request everyone at the table get it and it’s super huge so I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to handle that! I ordered eggplant-based tapas and was delighted. Bright atmosphere, friendly staff, great location, great food.

Awesome place - Edit
I think this is a really cool place to come to with a small group, because the portions are pretty big and their drinks are delicious. The food was really good (I had the latkes benechick) and chai latte was to die for. The atmosphere was also amazing and I was happy to see they asked for proof of vaccine which made me feel safe. A must try!

Great food - Edit
All-day breakfast menu! My first ever visit, I had the fabulous Latkes Benechick with the avocado topping option. Very generous serving, enough for two meals. Mounds of scrambled tofu atop tasty potato latke/fritters, and a good salad with light vinaigrette. Another time, I went for the Happy Hour menu, enjoying a jar of beer and the signature Chickpea Fries (filling). The Malawach is good too, another satisfying meal. On my most recent visit, I had the Chickcheeze Sandwich, which was excellent! Delicious. Comes with hash browns and salad. This meal takes a bit longer to prepare.

I’ve been lucky in the past to travel to Vancouver for work quite frequently. Even luckier, that the Chickpea truck used to be a half block from our rental office. Not sure how many times I’ve had lunch there, but it’s a lot.
Read moreWe managed to get there for breakfast this morning (although I’ve been to the restaurant a few times now too). I have to say the food is fantastic. Everything is just so flavourful, and the quality standard is high. I’ve never once thought that the food wasn’t quite as good as the last time.
The shakshuka and the falafel are my go to’s, and after missing this place for over a year that’s what my wife and I shared today. But really you can’t go wrong.
Pros: So many options, The falafel, Chickpea fries and spicy sauce

The best vegan food in the city! - Edit
This is my favorite restaurant in Vancouver. I love their concept of choosing a main and then making it into whatever type of platter you want, I love the sides that you can share with friends, their homemade kefir and baklava. This restaurant was the one that showed me that vegan food could be amazing.
Read moreThe staff is super nice and welcoming, the place has such nice decorating. The menus are a bunch of old children storybooks turned menus, and the restaurant has plants everywhere, wooden tables and blackboards for the drinks. Very hipster.
Any plate is delicious, but my personal recommendations are the baba ganoush with a side of chickpea fries (ask for no sauce if you’re getting it with the ganoush), the bacon benedict, the shawarma platter and my favorite, the kasum platter; a delicious mix of cauliflower and mushrooms with a creamy onion sauce. Everything is so well spiced and delicious. If it was cheaper, I’d eat there everyday.
Go to chickpea! You won’t regret it!
Pros: All vegan , Delicious food , Nice Decor
Cons: A tad expensive
