Best vegan food I've had in Vietnam - Edit
Easily some of the tastiest vegan food I've had in Vietnam. The chefs are clearly really talented and the flavours and balance of the food I had was amazing. The restaurant has a cozy and friendly ambiance and all the staff were lovely and happy to have a chat about the place!

Fantastic lunch - Edit
I went here to pay my deposit for the cooking class and decided that it would be rude not to eat something whilst there. I had the tasting platter (sorry not sure what it was called exactly) which comprised of some mini spring rolls, vegan chicken, salad of the day, cold vermicelli noodles, peanut sauce, mango, pineapple and probably the best tofu I've ever had (and I've had a lot in my time!), which the youngest chickpea sister explained wasn't made at the restaurant but was local. Also had a coconut cappuccino which was refreshing as its been difficult to find plant milk coffees in Vietnam.

Fun, Delicious, Vegan Cooking Class in Hoi An - Edit
I loved this. Chickpea Eatery is a family-run vegan restaurant who do well structured, fun Vietnamese cooking classes including a trip to the market. The sisters who run it are very knowledgeable and friendly, and have designed menus that are easy but delicious. They walk the walk and support local animals as well as educating you on vegan choices. Not all of us were vegan but we all had a great time. Thank you Chickpeazzze

Amazing cooking class experience - Edit
They go above and beyond to share their culture both through food and through meeting local vendors. Highlights for me included going to the market, trying new fruits and trying a local drink in the area. The food tasted amazing and we felt extremely welcome. Unforgettable experience for us travelling in Vietnam!

If you visit one restaurant in Hoi An, visit here - Edit
Hidden away from the busy streets of Hoi An is this gem of a restaurant. The food is amazing, very tasteful and fresh, and clearly a labour of love. The staff is very nice, knowledgeable and helpful, everyone speaks perfect English. The restaurant is situated in a nice garden where you can enjoy the quiet for a bit while having dinner.
Read moreWe also took Chickpea Eatery's vegan cooking class, which was an experience well beyond my expectations. We went to the market for fresh ingredients, then prepared various veganised Vietnamese staple dishes with clear guidance from all the Chickpea sisters. We brought our 4-year-old, who could tag along the workshop and share our meals. All in all, the workshop is so worth it; for the cooking, for the eating, for getting more acquainted with the Vietnamese culture. Absolutely loved it.
Pros: Amazing food, Nice and relaxed atmosphere, Quiet oasis away from the bustle

came back the next day! - Edit
The food is really good, lots of options and not too expensive. I went by myself one evening at 8 and got a table, everyone who came later they turned away so make sure not to go there too close to closing time (9pm). The staff was really nice and even gave me a piece of chocolate for free. Went back the next day with non-vegan friends and everyone liked their food😄

Food, staff and atmosphere is wonderful - Edit
It's a wonderful little restaurant at the end of an alley with a great atmosphere. This is a local family restaurant and the recipes are their own. Food is wonderful, so are the prices and above all so is the staff. Loved it, will be back.

Service wasn’t the best - Edit
I think we maybe caught them on a bad day. The service was very slow and a bit haphazard. It took about 20 mins for them to clear our table and bring water. They brought out cake first (which I ended up eating as was hungry waiting), then coffees and then the meals. The food was good. The cake was a bit dry. The ‘chicken’ was a very small portion & overall the flavours were ok. Given other reviews maybe they were just having an off day.

Such a sweet little place! 100% vegan & lots of options on the menu, both Vietnamese and Western. I ordered the ice latte & spinach quesadilla which comes with a lovely cashew mayo! It’s pricier than other places but definitely recommend😄

Great vegan chicken ! - Edit
I had a turmeric latte and the vegan chicken rice. The chicken was really delicious and convincing if you want a substitute. Prices are reasonable too. Atmosphere nice too. Would recommend if you want a relaxing meal away from the main streets.

Just excellent - Edit
This vegan restaurant is just awesome. The location is quiet, hidden away from the louder main streets. The hand-written menus and general set up is lovely and very welcoming.
Read moreThe drinks are quite good (the choco lover smoothie could do with more liquid) but the food is really excellent. They prepare many mock versions of local classics and also some of the best hummus I’ve ever tried. Over the course of a few days, I tried many of their dishes and nothing disappointed. The Cao Lau was definitely my favourite though!

Cute hidden café - Edit
The food was soo good! Many traditional vietnamese but also western options, the coffee banana bread combo is brilliant. There were healthy chickens running around and rolling in the sand, I don’t know if they are rescue chucks but they seemed to be taken care of very well. It is a bit hard to find though, you have to walk down a narrow alley all the way to the back where you find this cute oasis.

Incredible - Edit
Chickpea Eatery has some amazing options and everything we tried pulled through. The cauliflower pasta was our favourite, the beef sandwich whilst messy to eat was insane. As were the drinks. The staff, chickens and location were lovely.
