Did they permanently remove the vegan options?

I asked for the vegetarian/vegan menu and showed them an older picture uploaded here, and they said not available anymore. Only item that is left on the regular menu is the Chibo salad which includes tuna now.

Expensive Veg - Edit
Lovely staff. Strange okonomiyaki. Expensive noodles that taste like spag in a can. Not wheelchair accessible. Lift up to level 6, then stairs up to level 7 (the Muslim and veg friendly floor). Not worth the trek. One okonomiyaki and one noodles cost $52 AUD. 😩

Lovely vego okonomiyaki, but not vegan - Edit
We went to the Dtotonbori Chibo. As ratings below say, vegetarian food was advertised, but I couldn't see any of the menu until a vegetarian okonomiyaki was pointed out by the waitress (who tried really hard to be helpful and clear about what I couldn't have). The vego okonomiyaki was lovely, but made of the regular grill- an issue for some of course. The chef double checked that certain ingredients were ok, which was nice. I enjoyed the food and experience very much. I feel like the staff tried really hard, but this isn't the choice for everyone. I ignore grill contamination on holidays, but stricter vegos or vegans would not enjoy this.

Cons: No vegan option i could see, one vego option.

Wouldn't serve vegetarian options - Edit
They had a big sign out that said vegetarian showing multiple dishes, but once we got in, they said the only option was a okonomiyaki, which I'd read other reviews wasn't very good. It was just odd to have a big sign out front with lots of options, then inside they won't serve them. Language barrier was definitely an issue.

Better than the reviews made it out to be - Edit
I went with a group of 8 with three vegans. We were skeptical because of the other reviews, but it was great!

Try something that isnt the okonomiyaki - Edit
A cute place with a lot of vegan options on the 7th floor.
Read moreWas superexcited to try okomoniyaki from Osaka , but this one was a bit weird. Got tomato, asparagus and spinach on it and not any okomoniyaki sauce. They also put it on a plate instead for on the tepot, maybe because my boyfriend ate on with meat. If I got back I would order some of the other vegan dishes.
The yakisoba looked good and also the burger.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Very nice staff
Cons: Expensive , Weird combo

DO NOT GO. - Edit
I really wanted to love this place. Really. We were super excited about the vegan options. Ordered the ramen and the yakisoba. Both were meh. The yakisoba was weird with a spaghetti and tomato sauce vibe and canbage. Just too strange. Not terrible but not good. The ramen was ok. Not great. Asked for tofu in it and it was cold. Just not a great experience. On another note, the staff was really nice.

Expensive, mediocre food. Awful Okonomiyaki - Edit
I feel a bit bad because I’m the one who saw the menu on the street and uploaded this place to HappyCow. The next day, we went to check it out and to say we were underwhelmed is an understatement. My okonomiyaki was downright awful. Seriously, it’s like none of the staff has ever tried the food. My partner had a hamburger, which was much more edible but still not worth the price tag. The vegan menu is on available on the 7th floor, be sure to tell them you want vegan food before they seat you or you’ll have to be relocated (like us). Granted, the 7th floor isn’t bad but... it was inconvenient. Also, it’s NOT diy okonomiyaki like the “normal” one is.
Read moreOur food was delivered ages after we ordered and my partner’s came a full 20min before mine. Really happy to see more vegan options but I won’t be returning or recommending this place to anyone. Maybe it’s helpful for travelers in a pinch or those who need to eat with meat eaters.
Pros: Vegan options
Cons: Expensive , Low quality , Not very “authentic”
