Double check with waitstaff what you are ordering

This place has been around forever, and the building are all new-ish that have popped up around it. So, their sign which was once adequate seems small now next to the new-ish building. They have a large vegetarian menu, but just make sure you ask for no egg no fish sauce even when ordering from that menu. The Vegetable Pho is clear to me that it is NOT veg, so don't bother. One - it is NOT on the Vegetarian menu and Two - It's made with beef broth. The entrees are LARGE and could be thought of as family-style dining unless you have a huge appetite.

Pros: new dishes to explore, large veg menu, classic asian decor

More work then it's worth

The menu us a little miss leading as a lot of vegetarian dishes have fish sauce or eggs in them. They can be made vegan . Make sure you specify no fish sauce, no eggs when ordering. It's hard to figure out gluten-free options. This place is not for someone with celtlac or servere gluten or food allergies. Little hard to communicate with wait staff in ingredients.

The stuffed grape leaves were very good. Not something I have seen before on the vetemesse menu before. Was told this is a traditional dish in Vietnam. The tofu hot pot was plentiful and tasty.

Service was inconsistent and was very understaffed. They forgot to bring the tea and rice. Good thing the hot pot kept the food hot while waited over 10 minutes for the rice.

Pros: Large vegetarian selection

Cons: Little pricey for I what you get, Need to work hard to ensure everything is vegan. , Understaffed

Non-vegetarian Pho

The "vegetable and tofu pho" is not vegetarian. I found this out accidentally after eating it two or three times. They only use beef or chicken broth. They do not have mention of this anywhere on the menu.

Fresh veggies

Lots of vegan options. Be sure your server hears “vegan.” (We got eggs in a dish once.) Lots of fresh veggies. One of our favorite places in Boulder.

Yum!

Food is delicious and a full vegetarian menu! Make sure to specify vegan as I got fish sauce in one of my dishes at my last visit when ordering off of the vegetarian menu- In all honesty not totally their fault as I wasn't as clear as i should have been when eating at S.E Asian restaurant.

Pros: Vegetarian menu

Cons: They consider fish a vegetable

Wonderful!

No complaints about this place, whatsoever. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable, and the servings are quite large. There are many vegan entrees and appetizers that are delicious! In fact, the vegetarian portion of the menu feels like too many options given what I'm used to as a vegan. Vietnamese cuisine often contains fish sauce or shrimp paste. In the event you choose a dish containing such ingredients, they are able to cook it without them!

Love Chez

It’s so nice here - very comforting food and the staff is a hoot. The veg pho is fantastic as are all the curries and goodies.
