I had their mango-cheesecake and it was so much better as expected. Firm coockie-style bottom, firm "cheesecake" layer which had a little sweet-vanilla-creamy taste and a mango toplayer. Very tastefull combination!

We ordered a cake to share for 12 people. Everyone was so impressed by it not just looking amazing but tasting great too, made the event extra special! We ordered a carrot and speculoos cake.

less than a week and Malachy didn't say no to my request! I was so happy to have found a vegan-gluten free chocolate cake! It was so worth it and everyone loved it! I ordered a cake for 8-10 people, in the end we were 8 and the slices were very generous. Super delicious! Thank you so much Malachy!!!

Unicorn rainbow cake for my birthday - Edit
Malachy's cake was just amazing! I ordered a lemon flavour, rainbow layers and unicorn decoration cake for 14-16 people and the result was way beyond my expectations!! No one guessed it was vegan and everyone wanted a second slice. Very recommended :)

Overly sweet, little flavour - Edit
We had ordered a selection of pastries, but they were fairly disappointing. Just sugar, nothing refined about them. Not least given the VERY steep price, one could perhaps expect some quality ingredients and some delicateness and depth of flavour (and also a bit more generous pieces). It was just some (overpriced) run-of-the-mill pastries that give a sugar shock and little else. A pity.

It was a super practical form to fill out online, including the content of the cake, size, and the brief for how the cake should look. On the day, the cake was personally delivered by the chef - nice to meet you Malachy! - and was so good!

Malachy's cakes are simply works of art. They taste incredible - light & fluffy cake, sweet icing & bomb flavours -, and they look even prettier! The detail that goes into this is amazing! You can get gluten-free options (the key lime cheesecake is great!) and ask for special birthday or other celebration requests. So good!

I ordered a themed red velvet cake for my dad's birthday, and the three of us absolutely loved it (even had to stop the cats from licking the plates before we did)!! They were impressed that it was vegan. It was gorgeous AND delicious. Communication with Malachy was also perfect. My own birthday wasn't so long ago but now I'm already excited for it so I can order again. Would definitely recommend!

I contacted Chez Malachy to order a birthday cake, and he was super helpful and lovely: he managed to fit my order in and decide on a cake flavor. His suggestion of red velvet with cardamom frosting was delicious. We all loved it! The cake was gorgeous - I went for a unicorn cake after my inner child saw previous unicorn cakes that Malachy had done and fell in love - and it was the best decision!

Read moreI had the experience of trying these on many of my birthdays, and they were wonderful, with personal touches that I can tell had extra effort and time put into them. They had special shapes and features that meant more than your standard cake format.
**update: I had a second cake from Chez Malachy that was equally delicious. It was a themed mango cake with origami birds with trees and leaves on it. It was another wow cake that looked too good to eat!**

Malachy made a wonderful three-storey rhubarb, ginger and chocolate cake for my birthday, which was a combination of my favourite flavours. I was really impressed with how it looked and tasted and I would have no hesitation in using Chez Malachy again. I intend to use Chez Malachy for my son's 21st later this year.

I had my birthday cake made by Malachy and he blew me away. I didn't know what I wanted so he teased it out and came up with a cake combining my favourite flavours - banana, chocolate and almond. It was a gorgeous three-layer cake with such a cool drip decoration. It was out of this world, honestly, I've never had a cake like that before. Malachy was so kind and courteous when he delivered the cake himself - such a gent.
