An oasis in Chester - Edit
We have been a couple of times. Always items on the menu identified for vegans. Staff are aware of needs of vegans and automatically bring different vegetables for vegans. Service is excellent as is atmosphere. Very reasonably priced. Web site gives menu du jour so that you can know what will be available for vegans and vegetarians.

A real treat - Edit
Chez Joules feels like a real treat, (like fine dining), and the venue was bustling when we visited giving it a great vibe. Such a rare treat to find a French style restaurant that caters for vegans. As others have noted, there was a vegan starter, main course and more than one dessert on the menu, in addition to vegetarian options. The menu is very clearly labelled according to dietary needs making it easy to navigate accordingly (V, Ve, GF, etc). If you tell the staff (who are very friendly) that you are vegan they make sure any accompanying veg or sides don't have honey, cheese or cream etc.

Pros: Prix Fixe menu available at certain times, Great atmosphere

Delicious!! - Edit
I found out about Chez Jules on happy cow, and I'm so glad I went! The food was divine! Especially when you want to go somewhere and have a fine dining experience.. The best part is I haven't really explored french cuisine before, so going to this restaurant was a real treat!
Read moreTo start, I had a mille-feuille of potato chargrilled courgette and aubergine served with a delicious basil dressing. It was light but oh so tasty! And for dessert I had a chocolate torte with berry compote which was out of this world, almost fudge like in texture; both plates where so luxurious, which was nice to see how much effort they'd put into the vegan options.. the date I was with even preferred my choices to his non-veg choices!
So yes I would 100% recommend! Priced rightly too compared with other restaurants.
Pros: Taste and quality of food, Friendly Staff
Cons: slightly small portion; fine dining is

Chez Jules - Edit
This is a great place for vegans in a city where there is no vegetarian restaurant. As a previous reviewer has noted, the restaurant now always has a vegan starter, main course and dessert (a yummy chocolate torte – there is also fruit salad) on the menu, in addition to a vegetarian option. Vegans needs to watch out, however, for the pan of vegetables which accompanies the main course. The carrots are cooked in honey, so make sure that you ask for your vegetables to be vegan.
Read moreThe staff are friendly and flexible and the food is good value. There is wheelchair access, though this involves going round the back of the restaurant and entering through a fire door, plus an accessible toilet.
