Popped in hoping for a light lunch today. Their vegan option today was a vegan stew. It turned out to be potatoes, carrot, and turnip; basically, their beef stew prepare without the beef. I had been hoping for something more filling (even some lentils thrown in would help!), but it was served with some Julien’s bread on the side, which was nice. Their menu changes regularly (daily? weekly), and judging by the menus posted on their Instagram, they often have veggie chili and/or a vegan sandwich, so I think I just happened to come on a day when the menu wasn’t to my taste. I’ll try this spot again though!
The interior is lovely and trendy. They had oat milk as their non-dairy milk and the server happily made me a London Fog even though it wasn’t on their menu (it’s the kind of place where their whole menu doesn’t seem to be posted...). I noticed vegan oatcakes and some Schoolhouse Gluten Free cake slices (some of which are vegan), but alas, most of their beautiful baked goods are full of dairy.
This spot is also licensed, with a bar menu, and they have live music on the weekends.
Such a beautiful cafe that they have obviously put a lot of money into building. A few plant milk options but I wish there was more vegan food options. It seemed like for vegan food they had a few bags of chips and protein bars but that was it compared to the massive amount of non-vegan baked items they had.
