Fantastic Vegan Menu - Edit
They have great options here on the special vegan menu. We loved everything that we got. The Spartan Spicy Tacos and Avocado Benedict were big hits!

Careless?? - Edit
I have eaten there twice. The first time was good. They have quite a few vegan options, and they are clear on the menu. The second time I went was terrible. I ordered some vegan breakfast tacos. There were three of them, and the one in the middle had huge pieces of pork ALL IN IT. The two on the outside were the normal vegan ones, so I have no clue how they did that... They were really nice about it afterwards, but they don’t even have a pork taco on their menu. I just have no idea how they did that and it was really gross and upsetting.

Unimpressed, not worth the $$$ - Edit
I really wanted to like Cherie Inn. The fact that there was a whole vegan menu was initially very enticing, and the place has a great vibe, like a a cozy vintage French diner. Unfortunately, the vegan menu is a disappointment. It's not just a vegan menu, it's also oil-free and gluten-free. Essentially they've crammed all special diets together, instead of making a flexible menu with options for everyone.
Read moreThe avocado benedict was like a meat eater's stereotypical idea of what a vegan would eat: On a bed of tomatillo salsa, a whole avocado cut in halves, with two small pieces of raw herbed tofu on each half, topped with sprouts. Despite the fact that those are all among my favorite foods, and I thought I couldn't go wrong with that, this was actually a terrible way to combine those things. It was unappetizing, bland, difficult to eat, and not at all filling. For 10$ it was a rip off.
Since the non-vegan menu involves a lot of toast and omelettes I'm really baffled that they don't have something vegans would actually eat like avocado toast or a tofu omelette. Heck, they should have vegan crepes/pancakes also, but they don't.
Pros: Nice atmosphere, Friendly staff
Cons: Food somehow both strange and boring, Not worth the $$$

Intimate atmosphere - Edit
I love the Cherie Inn! Have been here several times and not been disappointed. They present a separate vegan menu on the table upon being seated. The vegan food is artfully prepared and tasty. The staff is friendly and even though the tables are fairly close together; there is a more intimate and relaxing feel to the restaurant. The owner is friendly and courteous and tries to make a point of greeting people. This is the type of place a single person feels comfortable going to for a leisurely meal.
