Ok food - Edit
The owner understood what vegan is so that's nice but the food itself was just ok and the portions were very small. The prices for vegan/vegetarian food was around 35,000- 45,000.

Nothing outstanding - Edit
We expected something better when looking at the menu, but the food wasn’t really tasty so disappointing. The chapati was ok and the ginger appetizer was a good discovery for us but for the main dishes, one of them was way too salty, and we overheard other customer saying the same, their plate was too salty. The servings are large and this isn’t very expensive for a Indian place in Laos. They also serve a lot of dishes that are not that commun for Indian restaurant so maybe some plates are better than the other. The staff is also nice, so mixed review.

Very disappointing Indian food - Edit
Espacially the Naan was bad, very dry hard bread with weird butter on it. The Paneer Masala was ok, but I had a lot better Indian food before. Would not recommend eating here.

So tasty! - Edit
We had a lovely breakfast here, I had the chana masala with garlic naan and it was delicious! Ask for extra chilli flakes because they don't make it spicy at all.

Disappointing - Edit
Perhaps we ordered the wrong things, but this was over all a disappointing experience.
Read moreThe food took a long time as it does in this area and came in no particular order. I had masala papadums which were very greasy and came with no pickles or chutneys what so ever.
The onion bhajees were the worst, in a fat greasy batter and the sauces were ketchup and a sweet chilli sauce.
The masala dosa was a stodgy style pancake with carrot and potato filling and not enough sauces to cover it.
The best thing was the pineapple and banana shake, they did it without milk but I had honey instead of sugar.
Pros: vegan shakes possible
Cons: stodgy dosa, greasy papadums, using ketchup and no Indian chutneys or pickles

Oh so good. So tasty and filling. It's kind of confusing to know what's vegan though. No one speaks (much) English.

Delicious food. Quick, tasty and the lady understood my requirements well. Price is also fair and it is way less crowded than the other indian place a few meters away.

Not vegan - Edit
Pretty good flavors but I ordered a vegan Thali, the woman said they used coconut milk so no problem, but there was a milk/yogurt dish included anyways (raitha)

Tasted very good - Edit
We've been here 3 times for diner and the food tasted great. Don't forget to order rice when you want because that is not included. Asking questions can be hard because they are not speaking English very well.

Great food and friendly service! - Edit
We ate here every day twice or three times a day during our 4 day visit to Nong Khiaw. I can't stress enough how welcomed and appreciated we felt every time we set our feet in this restaurant. The owner is pleasant and friendly and told us that all the vegetarian dishes can be made vegan by substituting the dairy with coconut milk. So there was quite a lot to choose from as the vegetarian menu is huge! The food was delicious and cheap. We highly recommend this place!

Large selection of veg food, amazing food! - Edit
A lot of veg dishes to choose from and really tasty food. Indian food is between 12-15,000 kip for a dish and plain rice is 5,000 kip. One dish + rice was more than enough for me.
Read moreVery friendly English speaking Indian and Lao staff. Has free wifi and a nice atmosphere.
It's next door to another Indian restaurant called "Deen Restaurant" and I've tried that place as well but in my opinion Chennai is much better. They have almost the same prices.
