WARNING: they LIE about what is vegan - Edit
**if I could give zero stars I would**
Read moreThey lied to my face and said that everything in the store was vegan, including the mac and cheese. I know for a fact it was not. This is 100% cheese. When you've been vegan for 5+ years you know the difference - plus I'm looking at other reviews here with people saying that they DO in fact use dairy in the mac and cheese and other items and have lied to people about this. Going as far back as 2020.
If I ask you if something is vegan, just tell me what is ACTUALLY vegan, I'll just eat that!! But now I feel cheated, lied to, and disgusted. I'd rather spend my money at a place that serves meat than a vegetarian restaurant that's gonna lie to their customers.......Just label things and don't lie to people! SMH.

Fav veg spot near Decatur - Edit
Delicious black owned restaurant with a buffet of vegan/veg Caribbean food along with a bakery and juice bar. Fresh, flavorful, and big portions. Definitely try the curry, mac n’ cheese, rice and peas, any of their delicious patties and samosas, and that juice…it’s magical.

Not vegan and UNCLEAR about it. - Edit
There seems to be some confusion, so I will also confirm that this is a *vegetarian* restaurant, not vegan. This was made obvious by walking just inside the door and reading the ingredients list of their house-made beverages, which include honey. This is not a problem in itself, as they do not claim to be a vegan restaurant and the ingredients are shown.
Read moreThe problem is that they are unclear/giving mixed messages about their completely unlabeled buffet and bakery items. There are not even signs labeling what an item is, much less ingredients or vegan markers. The employee had to explain what each thing was and literally said that "everything is vegan". I gave no indications that I had any misgivings about the cheesy items based on reading reviews here. After asking questions about the lasagna looking dishes unrelated to the cheese, she again mentioned that it was vegan cheese, but then was like "or vegetarian", and acted unsure of which word to use, and then was unable to answer my clarifying questions about whether the cheese was really vegan. I asked to see the package and she just said that she didn't know and the cooks knew, and "if you don't trust it just don't order the things with cheese"... so I didn't. I also ordered a couple baked items that she said were vegan, but again I could not be sure.
The food was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. The employee was very friendly and patient with my questions. But it is important to actually understand what "vegan" means when you are operating a restaurant. It's amazing that a vegetarian restaurant would be so confused and unclear/misleading about this. I think most items were probably vegan, but I would not go back simply because I don't trust being able to know for sure, even more so than in most omni restaurants. If they simply became clear about what is vegan or not this would be a 4-star review.
Pros: very friendly staff, a lot of food for the price, food was decent
Cons: staff is unclear about what's vegan, buffet style. no online ordering or menu at all

NOT VEGAN - Edit
*Beware* I have reason to believe the Macaroni and cheese is NOT VEGAN. I asked a store attendant what kind of cheese they used. She directed me to a brand and the first ingredient is "pasteurized milk." I confronted the attendant about the non-vegan cheese and he was extremely confrontational. I need answers.

Did someone claim that the mac and cheese was vegan? This restaurant is specifically labeled as vegetarian.

This is the spot! - Edit
Every city I’ve been to has that one “hole in the wall” place that has the best Vegan food I’ve ever had. This is the spot for Atlanta. I had the okra, Mac and “cheese”, and the “beef”. Everything was absolutely amazing. The portions you get for the price are Ridiculous. 10 out of 10

I would give this place a -0 if I could. - Edit
This place food is nasty as all getout. Over cooked, over sweet and just plain ewwww. The service is ghetto. If you are a newbie you can not taste anything so if you buy something and don't like it, you just wasted your money. The patties were dry and burned. If your going here to support a black business fine but if you're going to eat don't do it.

Excellent! - Edit
Everything is vegan and the baked goods are also gluten free. We got lasgana, mac and cheese, collards, okra, bbq tofu, lo mein, chocolate cake and walnut blueberry carrot cake. It was all delicious, the portions were huge, and we spent approx $30. To-go buffet style so no waiting, but it was all very fresh. Must try!!!

This place is definitely on my radar. Its good food at a great price. The selections vary daily. They have recently started serving gf cakes as well as regular dessert cake options.

Great find! - Edit
My husband and I were visiting Stone Mountain and found on HappyCow that this place was located close to the park. After one time of visiting this place, we knew we were going to eat here every day we were at Stone Mountain. We tried a nice variety of their options each day and loved every one of them. Super flavorful and definitely worth the drive. All of the food is already made, so all you have to do is tell them which items you want (either 2 or 3) and they put it in to-go containers. They have yummy apple pies so don't forget to try those out before you leave!
Read moreThe only negative comment I could give would be that although there is an option to dine in, when you go to sign the credit card receipt, it asks if you want to leave a tip. Not too big of a deal, but they watch you sign it like they are expecting that you to leave a tip. When they see you don't leave a tip, they look very disappointed. Most people get their food to-go, so it can be somewhat uncomfortable when you opt not to leave a tip. Even if you dined in, they don't wait on the tables so I'm not sure what anyone would really be tipping for. The food isn't expensive, but it isn't cheap either so asking for a tip seems like overkill.
Pros: Delicious, Fast service
Cons: Expects tips (even if it is to-go)

It's awesome and vegan!!! - Edit
Why is everyone saying this is a vegetarian restaurant? I have talked with the owners and they say it is 100% plant based vegan. No flesh, no dairy, no eggs, all pants. Am I missing something here? If so, please correct me. This is a Caribbean restaurant with Caribbean workers, they don't use the word vegan in everyday talk. It simply isn't part of the everyday vernacular, in fact "vegetarian"could mean Pescetarian, Vegetarian or Vegan. It is a VEGAN establishment!

Fantastic Food - Edit
I've been here several times and the food is consistently great. Even took an omnivore family member there and she loved it. Customer service is okay but once you become a regular face it becomes great. They aren't bad but are busy and about business I can respect that. Overall this will and had become a regular dining spot for me!

Definitely Worth a Try! - Edit
I've passed by this little place before not knowing it was there. Everything is vegetarian but they have many vegan options as well. Their hot menu is as delicious as the pastries but spicy which I love. The staff is very friendly in explaining what is vegan. I will return!

Hidden gem - Edit
This place is more like a deli than a resturaunt.a few tables and no table service.(the food) very good a little spicy. The breads and pastry are made there and are worth the money.the pastry are little too cheap.the drinks are nice and are placed together in three door fridge with a healthy variety.i would give this place a definite 8.5. the person serving could have been a little more friendly.clean.well lit ,open ,good and accessable.
