Fantastic flavours - Edit
Visited for a hen party and was dubious about the vegan options. However, Really unique dishes, bursting with flavour. I was sceptical due to the prices, and the dish descriptions. However, I was so pleasantly surprised. So much flavour and genuinely satisfying. Really impressed. Great service and decor too.

Would post 5 stars but HC wont let you if it’s not a fully veg restaurant. Had a reservation for vegan menu so they gave us that without asking. Perfect for a date or occasion. Not a huge menu so we got to try most things. Changes seasonally so that gives you reason to come back.

Excellent vegan options - Edit
Chefs table was fantastic. As someone from an area with limited vegan options I love small plates menus as it means I get to try lots! There is a dedicated small plates vegan menu, but all the vege options on the main menu can also be veganised if a tradtional 3 course meal is what you're after. The staff were super friendly and I had a lovely time here. Definitely a bit on the pricier side but great for a special occasion.

Slightly style over substance - Edit
A very small intimate resturant, the kitchen can be seen from your table. A few vegan options. Food presented very well, looks more beautiful than it tastes. Overall good flavours and plesent surroundings.

Highly recommended - Edit
I have visited the Chef’s Table twice now with friends, the first time at Christmas, the second time this week (Easter). The menu changes seasonally depending on the produce they are able to source and is displayed on the website along with a listing showing where the produce originates.
Read moreThere are always at least 3 vegan options on a separate section of the menu, and some additional vegetarian options. At Christmas there was both a vegan and vegetarian Christmas lunch available.
The food is excellent- I can recommend the homemade focaccia (gorgeous), the green soup, mushroom crostini (beware- it’s huge!), garlic gnocchi and the chocolate brownie from the vegan menu. My friend had the falafel burger and was complimentary- he’s a meat eater and said it was one of the best burgers he’d ever had.
At £18 for 2 courses or £22 for 3 for lunch, it is incredibly good value in my view.
Drinks wise, as well as the usual wines etc they stock craft beers and make their fruit cordials (which again, are gorgeous).
All in all, I highly recommend it.
I want to give it 5 stars, but the way the site operates (only giving 5 stars to fully veg restaurants) I can’t.
Pros: Excellent value, Great friendly staff, Excellent food
Cons: None!!!
