Food To Live For - Edit
I love Chef Tanya's Kitchen. It is my go to as often as possible. Her homemade tempeh is amazingly delicious as a burger or topping a salad. Her BLAT is fabulous. Best sandwich ever. The staff is friendly and helpful. Now open from 11am til 8pm. It is a hidden gem of a restaurant. My favorite in the desert. As a vegan, I love being able to order anything from the menu knowing it has no animal products lurking in it.

What a treat!! Great service and very knowledgeable staff. We both enjoyed a spinach and a zucchini Papusa. They even added jalapeños to them. Will definitely come back.

Desert Gem! - Edit
Found this little Vegan Cafe on Happy Cow as we drove into Palm Springs California! Cute place with great vibe & full of locals. We had the Avacado BLT with seitan bacon, lettuce, tomato & mayo. It's in an industrial area so well hidden but a fantastic surprise with delicious food!

Chef Tanya for Sainthood! - Edit
Back in 1994 - the same year I became vegan - Chef Tanya founded Native Foods in Palm Springs and was its executive chef. Since then, I've followed Native Foods' trajectory, now headquartered in Chicago with different owners and chefs and restaurants in four states, including one just up the road from me that I patronize regularly. However, I LOVE Chef Tanya's Kitchen because it takes me back to the special spirit of the original Native Foods. Tanya is a spectacularly talented chef, and this tiny cafe offers excellent food, plus a few shelves with a well-curated selection of items for sale, along with a cold case with food to carry out. You may well get to meet Tanya, a true icon of vegan culture, and you'll definitely have a great meal in a space infused with her amazing spirit.

Small but super friendly and all vegan deli style place. So glad it’s here. I hope they will grow so they can expand into a proper restaurant (in addition to their current location)

Small heaven in the desert - Edit
There are not that many vegan places in Palms Springs but I was thrilled to find this one. The food feels hot me made and not commercial. It’s more like a deli with sandwiches and cold salads and some bowls but it tastes clean. It also seems environmentally friendly with biodegradable straws and wax less paper. Not a lot of seating space and a little pricey. Then again, they make their own Seitan and dressings.

So good, even veg-resistant omni loved it - Edit
We were recently traveling to Palm Desert, and I'd heard many great things. We were there during spring break, so I think our wait for food may have been unusually long, but other than that, everything was perfect. I brought my open-minded omni parents (they are in their late 70s) and they loved every bite. They liked it so much they went back and ate there again on their own. And then told their friends about it (who are not as open minded about vegan food) and they went and loved it, too! I don't think you can go wrong ordering the daily special, and everything we tried was amazing. Thank you!

Best Vegan spot in Cochella Valley and best place to bring non vegan friends! - Edit
This place is one of the amazing off the beaten path type hot spots you will find in Palm Springs. The offerings are all amazing. I try something new everytime. There is always a special of the day. Refreshing drinks and desserts in addition to the deli style favorites. See the photo of the menu. Yum! Chef Tanya is an accomplished chef and animal advocate. Love, love, love that there is information on adoption from Palm Springs Animal shelter. This place has heart and the staff rock. A must visit when in palm springs, CA.

Great variety of food! Such a cute and quaint little spot - really clean too. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Well priced and good portions as well. Everything we had was delicious and we even ordered food to-go since we were just passing through. I would definitely come back if I’m even remotely close to the area again.

Must try - Edit
I’ve enjoyed Chef Tanya’s cooking even back when she founded Native Foods. If you love that, you’d love her creations here. Try her housemade tempeh. It’s uniquely made with fermented soy and millet. It’s got great texture and flavor. Can’t wait to come back to try more things on the menu
