Tasty Levantine Takeaway - Edit
Newly renovated spacious venue organized like a classic Kebab. There is also a separate section to order ice cream and some oriental tableware/trinkets for sale. Unfortunately there is no seating area or even standing tables. Location is decent, at the edge of old town and five minutes from the lake. The street itself is no jewel and has no inviting place to sit down and enjoy your meal.

Food is served quickly and the ingredients look fresh. Unfortunately no eye on regionality / seasonality I think. The selection looks phenomenal: it's all some sort of Levantine cuisine, ranging from Falafel to Babba Ganoush and other Mezze. There are oriental deserts and special bottled drinks I have never seen. The ice cream selection contains special oriental flavors with spices.
I had the classic wrapped Falafel and it tasted great. Especially because they add herbs to it, so it seems more sophisticated than the Falafel at the regular Kebab. I ordered the big one (for 2 Fr extra) and at first thought it looks a bit small. But then the chickpeas of the Falafel really fill one's belly. Prices look alright, about the same that you would pay for a Kebab.
I was also pleased to see the relatively minimal packaging for the Falafel: it's just a small paper bag, not tons of aluminium foil. Possibly with the disadvantage of faster cooling though.
Pros: Great selection of food, Friendly service, Fast
Cons: Take-away only, not even a standing table, A bit sterile interior, maybe because it's new?, No focus on seasonal / regional food

My fav' Pampered Daddy (aka Baba Ganoush) - Edit
Finally, Chef Falafel is expanding. After its successful restaurant in La Tchaux (La Chaux-de-Fonds) and food truck, he just opened a new takeaway in Neuch' (Neuchâtel). Chef' offers delicious falafel shawarma or sandwiches and probably Switzerland's best Baba Ganoush (with the one from Züri's Palestine Grill). It's reasonably priced and their location is very convenient just a couple of minutes from the lake.
