Just stopped in for cake for hubby's birthday, everything looked delicious I wanted to get it all but I can confirm the desserts are just as delicious as they look! Definitely coming back when we have more time to sit and eat to try their food it all sounds great! Staff was friendly and helpful great atmosphere, so glad we stumbled upon this vegan restaurant in our travels we'll definitely be returning!

This is now amongst my and my partner’s favorite vegan restaurants, and we travel a lot and get to try a lot! Everything we had was amazing: loaded fries, “Sweet Cheezus” French toast, chicken n waffles, and flavored coffees. We’re already trying to make plans to get back to that area (2 hours from us).

Breakfast Wonders - Edit
Dear god. We stopped here for breakfast on Sunday. As vegans know, getting breakfast out can be a challenge. Not so if you're close to Cheezy Vegan. An all vegan joint with an expansive menu available at all times of the day, including a full page of delicious options for breakfast, this place is amazing. The staff is terrific and the food outstanding.

We went here for my birthday brunch, and I was so grateful they were able to accommodate a larger party. The service was excellent — very attentive but they didn’t make us feel rushed. The food was phenomenal — hands down some of the best vegan food I’ve had in my 5 years of being vegan. My non-vegans friends loved it too. I ordered the crab cake benedict and it was everything I’ve ever wanted. I can’t wait to go back again and again to try the rest of their (extensive) menu! LOVE THIS PLACE!!

I couldn’t visit the store due to some meetings I had to be in, so I ordered GrubHub delivery for me and an employee. We both ordered the “Buffalo Chick’n Cheesesteak.” It was pretty good. The sandwiches were packaged well and still hot. We both enjoyed the sandwich, but this sandwich is more like ground chick’n than sliced or shredded chick’n. We both would have preferred shredded or sliced chick’n over ground chick’n. Setting that aside, it was a pretty good sandwich.

My friend and I try to pick a new vegan place to have lunch when we get together - yesterday we picked Cheezy Vegan and Holy HappyCow!! EVERYTHING was SO DELICIOUS!!!!! The menu is HUGE! I ordered The Early Burg with regular fries - my gooooodness - SO delicious and enormous. My friend ordered Swissful Thinking with regular fries and loved it! I took home the confetti cake and bread pudding. Both were fabulous - the confetti cake is one of THE most delicious cakes I've ever had - definitely the best strawberry frosting on the planet. Then Chef Reeky came by our table and let us try his new pumpkin rice pudding - how very cool is that? It's DIVINE!! Everyone there was so lovely and so kind. You know when you leave a place and you just want to hug everyone? What a joyful and delicious experience! Thank you so much! We can't wait to come back!

I like everything about The Cheezy Vegan, from the wonderful staff to the amazing food. If you have any food restrictions, ask for the list of food ingredients. The owner is very open to suggestions, and quite passionate about the vegan way of eating.

I was anxious to finally get to this restaurant and was totally disappointed by the amount of oil and fried foods. Not one salad on the menu. Certainly a disservice to the customers who think they are eating healthy just because it says vegan. I will not be back.

Read moreThanks for your feedback! Right now, we do have Pesto Chick'n Salad on special - it's filled grilled chicken, red onions, cucumbers, avocados and greens, so it's definitely a great healthier option that we offer.
In the past, we used to have more greens and salad options available, but focusing on that isn't really sustainable as a business as our customers typically favor more vegan alternatives for their favorite meals like mac n' cheese, burgers, etc. A majority of these options are generally healthier anyway since they are made with vegan ingredients like mushrooms instead of processed meats, so there are still plenty of options for healthier eaters.
Overall, we truly do appreciate your feedback, and hope that you're able to give us another try in the future!

That is good to hear. My granddaughter got stomach pains from all the fried foods she ordered. It would be so nice to offer your customers baked options, to educate them about healthy vegan food. I do comfort food without added oil and do not fry. I have an air fryer. So deep fried mac and cheese is not my idea of a good choice neither is deep fried Brussel sprouts. I know folks want their comfort food however, it can be healthy as well. Good luck.

We made the trip here from New Castle County in Delaware. It was more than worth it! The food was awesome. The service was outstanding and with a smile! We will definitely be back, with friends! Come hungry! Large portions, huge menu with even more specials and many things in the cases that will tempt you. Do not expect grain bowls and health food -- this place is for your splurge day, and it is easy for non-vegans to love. (And ALL of the food here is good for the animals' health.) My omni friend is eager to return. We took plenty home. Their crab cakes are superior. I forgot to ask how they make them. The place is tucked into a small strip of stores next to a Wawa and used to be Java Joe's. Takeout was busy. There are other locations, including a juice bar in Center City. I must try the stromboli next time. We liked the Keith Haring-style art wall.

Cheesy Vegan made me both nostalgic for the diners of my childhood and hopeful for the future of vegan food. I loved the menu and only wish I lived closer so I could try more options. My favorite items were the deep friend mac and cheeze and the crab cake Benedict. The Nashville Hot sandwich and French toast with vegan sausage were also hits! We topped it off with a chocolate milk shake. Delicious!
