Even my grilled cheese hating husband liked it - Edit
All sandwiches can be made with vegan cheese, you just have to leave off the other non-vegan items. The staff was very accommodating, even remembering to bring up that mayo should be excluded and their pesto is not vegan.

Read moretheir tomato soup is unreal. i never knew how good it could be until i came here. the person who took our order was VERY knowledgeable about vegan options, and recommended me the no porkin way but vegan. it was amazing.

this place has a few good options for vegan grilled cheeses, and I’d recommend the no porkin way. in my experience the staff is friendly and more than willing to accommodate. & the chips are perfectly salted!

Previous reviews have stated the tomato soup is vegan. I just went in today and an employee confirmed it is not vegan. There are some menu items labeled with a “V” that can be made entirely vegan but some items may have to be removed. For example, the pesto in The Godmother is not vegan. I got The Vermonter with vegan cheese and the spring salad (is vegan if you get no cheese) and both were fine. Overall we could’ve just made this at home.

Vegans beware do not go here. Ordered a baconator fully vegan because thrilling foods lists Cheese Louise as a vendor of their fake bacon. Also, the menu allows for you to select fully vegan on the sandwich. Order one pick up my order and it says fully vegan on the box real bacon in parentheses open up the box sure enough, real bacon. Bring it back and this kid named Levi, who, stoned out of his mind thinks it’s funny that he put real bacon on here had to explain to him what being vegan was. Then he was like yeah but we don’t have vegan bacon so he defaulted to putting real bacon on a vegan sandwich. What an idiot. I’m guessing he was so stoned. He thought this was funny. Great management employing somebody like this.

We stopped in craving a vegan version of comfort food and we weren’t disappointed with the special sandwich (with eggplant spread). But the soup took it up a few notches — healthy and delicious.

I don't even like tomato soup and I liked theirs. The sandwich was good. It could have been meltier but I understand that's a hard balance with vegan cheese. Be warned: the whole place smells like bacon

Vegan grilled cheese! - Edit
They have vegan cheese available and the tomato soup and salad is vegan too. Small menu but it fits their size. Really cute inside and the food was super tasty! They also have delicious homemade lemonade. I got a 1/2 lemonade and 1/2 ice tea, a vegan sandwich, and the tomato soup.

Unfortunately when I went they had run out of the vegan cheese. However they were very accommodating and ran to the store to get more vegan cheese. They ended up comping my meal which consisted of tomato soup (really good), a salad, and finally the grilled cheese with onion and tomato to go.

Nice to have a vegan option on the menu and any of the sandwiches can be made vegan. I had the grilled cheese with tempeh bacon and avocado, not the best grilled cheese I’ve ever had but good for a quick and easy lunch.

i love cheese louise so much. cute vibes, plants everywhere (and for sale). make sure you say you want the entire sandwich vegan when ordering as sometimes adding vegan cheese doesn’t make it fully vegan. also i’ve been many times and still have no idea if the sauce they provide with the chips (on the side) is vegan

Several vegan options. One listed as vegan on the menu but they can do many sandwiches vegan. I did the “no porkin’ way” minus the coleslaw and subbed vegan cheese. The tomato soup is vegan also! Perfect on a cool day to get grilled cheese and tomato soup!
