Delicious food and sweetest owner! - Edit
One of my best meals in 3 weeks eating in Vietnam restaurants! We had dumplings and the Vietnamese pancake… it was sooo good. The woman who ran the place had very limited English but was incredibly welcoming and lovely.

So cute, can’t fault - Edit
Firstly Google Maps takes you to the wrong side. See my photos for reference. I walked up the road and a young lad gestured towards the restaurant, thanks to him! Nobody was there when I arrived, you can ring a bell. Two ladies came out to see me, then one lady did the cooking.
Read moreOrdered a medium size portion of traditional dumplings, they’re served with soy sauce and the lady encourages you to drizzle it all over them.
Also ordered the fried rice, there’s an egg version so I made sure mine was without, she understood I was vegan! This is served with some veggies and sweet chilli sauce, and she offered me a little bit of soy sauce, but encouraged me only to use a tiny bit on the rice!
This felt like a really authentic experience. I cycled here after visiting the nearby Tomb of Tu Duc, otherwise, it’s a little bit out the way for people in the central area. You can rent bikes and scooters. Cheap as well, overall it cost me 80K VND, 40K each dish.

It was closed but I still had the best experience - Edit
I came on a national holiday and the restaurant was closed. A Buddhist nun came out and saw me in distress (it was an extreme heat warning day in Hue with more than 42 degrees and I was cycling) and they offered me a cold drink, some white rice and cucumbers. This was the best experience I had in Vietnam even though I couldn't taste the actual menu of the restaurant!

Cheap food, but very difficult to know what was vegan. - Edit
The lady was lovely, however spoke no English at all. There were eggs on the menu and other vegetarian foods but due to the language barrier we could not ask to check what was vegan - I thought I would be safe with fresh spring rolls, but there was a mayo drizzle on top. The crispy pancakes had egg in them and the noodles were egg, not rice noodles. If you are veggie this place would be perfect, however as I vegan I would not recommend as I left hungry! There were also birds kept in cages.

Delightful! - Edit
This place is a real gem. We nearly didn't find it, because the location Google was showing us was incorrect. If you have the same problem, be aware that after turning off the main road, you need to turn right - there is a sign. We kept missing that turn and ended up being accosted by some scary dogs. Once we finally got there though, all the effort was worth it.
Read moreThe dumplings were super fresh and we think the best we had. But even better was the energy of the grandma who owns it. She was just super cute and made me proud to be veg.
We were in a hurry because we had a flight to catch. The food came out in very good time however and we were in and out in about half an hour. Would definitely come again, preferably with more time to explore the menu in more detail.
Pros: Gorgeous owner, Amazing dumplings , Feels super authentic
Cons: Found it hard to find - Google was wrong

So so good! - Edit
The food is so yummie, especially the dumplings. But also the sushi and vegetable skewers were super tasty. The owner is very friendly and communicative even though she doesn't speak a lot of English. We had a great time with her and her granddaughter(?).

Amazing! Kind owners and great food. - Edit
The owner is the most amazing woman! Happily remade my drink for me once I informed her I could not have milk. The dumplings were amazing. She showed us how to eat them and continued to bring us little samples of food from the temple.
