Kitties and chill vibes - Edit
Chill spot for a beverage or lunch. The attraction is the cats, but the cauliflower salad was unique and tasty as was the hi five soda.

A spot for vegan cat lovers! - Edit
In this cat cafe, the cats are wandering around you while you enjoy your meal. Some will visit for pets, others will snooze. Service was great. Its a bit slow on the weekends because they're so busy, so allow extra time to wait outside for a table if you go between 3pm and 6pm.

Cons: Waited longer than I would have liked, Reservation option would be nice

Pour amoureux des chats - Edit
Café sympa.
Read moreConcept original.

Fun cafe - Edit
Vintage vibes and the well loved cats make this cafe a cozy spot. The gros biscuit and tropichat were both delicious. High-five drink was also very good!

Sweet place - Edit
As pointed by others, there are not a lot of vegan options and it would be nice to add vegan cheese in option for the grilled sandwiches.
Read moreAs for me, I tried the Mexi-Chat (avocado, spicy sauce - but it wasn't spicy - corn, cheese) and the Cat Lady (fig, goat cheese and other stuff) which were really good. I took a chai latte and a cheese cake. The chai was fine and cute with cat paws drawn on the top and the dessert was SO good, light and fresh with raspberry sauce.
The place was really nice and chill. The perfect place to take a hot drink, read a book and be surrounded by cats and nice music. The tables were really apart from each other, wich is nice.
Pros: Cats, Yummy cheese cake, Chill atmosphere
Cons: Not super clean floor, Not a lot of vegan options

Lovely cats and very relaxing - Edit
I loved this cute place. I came with my boyfriend and we had a lovely relaxing time. Cats were walking around and resting on play areas and next to the tables of people while they were eating. I wish there were even more vegan options but the cranberry salad was amazing and I took down the ingredients of the dressing.

Cons: Should have vegan sandwiches and more options, Not too clean, Very few tables

Kitty café - Edit
Loved it. Their lemonade and iced tea are really good, not a lot of vegan options when it comes to food but this is a cafe, not a restaurant.
Read moreVery cool vibe, cats chilling everywhere and patrons are respectful.
The people who work there are nice and the cats seem to love them. You might see them walk around the cafe with a cat wrapped around their shoulders. 😁
The place is often packed, so you might have to wait a bit if you go during weekend peak hours.

J’adore les chats! - Edit
The cats are all cute, friendly, and sweet. Sharing space with them is a true joy. But the cats are the main event here, not the food, which was fine but not overly exciting. The entire menu is vegetarian, which is great! It’s nice to see a place that loves animals get that we shouldn’t be eating them. But it’s very dairy-heavy with only a smattering of vegan options (most of the menu is dominated by grilled cheese and they don’t have a vegan cheese). I had the vegan chili and it was good but not great.
Read moreThe place seems to be very popular with children and tourists, which makes sense. If you’re hungry, get lunch across the street at Chez Jose or a few blocks up at Pizzaria Zac, and then come here to have a coffee/smoothie/cookie and enjoy the cats. They’re the focal point, as they should be!

Cool place, need to try more dishes. - Edit
Really cool, relaxed place. Vegan Gros Biscuit with chocolate and cherries was alright, nothing too special. Kind of dry and too much plain breadiness. Will have to come back and try more food.

Such a wonderful place, cats everywhere! And that’s obviously why you go there. I ate a great vegan biscuit, but I do wish they had more vegan options in the dessert category.

Birthday with cats - Edit
We came to Montreal for my birthday and I wanted to spend it here surrounded by cats and it was awesome. The cats are so chill and fun to watch and the food, while on the lighter side, is pretty good. I got the La Pele-Mele because I'm a sucker for cauliflower and pickled red onions and pecans. It's like they read my mind for flavor combos. My partner got the Cat Lady which I'm told was very delicious so there was no regrets about missing out on meat. It's a nice place to hang out and chill at after a long flight.

Super ! - Edit

Cats! - Edit
I really liked my experience at Café Chat L'Heureux. Because there were cats, but also because the atmosphere is great. The place is clean and tidy and you really feel like you are at home. The decoration is perfect, probably the best I have seen in Montreal as far as vegetarian restaurants are concerned.
Read morePlease note you have to take your shoes off, so you might want to bring slippers.
The food is not bad, but the vegan options could be improved.
