Always a delicious vegan option - Edit
Once you get used to their schedule, this is a great place for a delicious lunch. I’ve always found they have a really yummy vegan option or two.

Nice breakfast burrito - Edit
The breakfast burrito can be made vegan if you take off the egg and cheese. It was nice enough but not especially tasty. We didn’t find many vegan options in Belfast though and they do have other options on their menu. Outside patio is dog friendly which was a big plus!

Delicious vegan options - Edit
I visited for lunch during COVID times, all food is takeaway and they have put up a covered outside eating area in the back. I found that they feature three dishes for lunch, two were vegan (curry fried rice and Middle Eastern mezzo). They offer 3 pizzas daily, one of which is always vegan- my husband had the vegan rosemary potato pizza and said it was fab. They have a couple of prepared sandwiches, one of which was a tofu Bahn Mi and was fantastic - the bread!!! Wow! They were pretty busy so I didn’t get a chance to ask about brunch options, but hope to visit again soon and check it out!

Nothing vegan - Edit
I waited in a long line to find out that they didn't have anything vegan available. All of their pastries have egg, butter, etc.
Read moreThey should have better signage so you can at least know before you wait in that line. Very disappointed.

DELICIOUS! - Edit
I absolutely love Chase's! They have fresh food that is made daily. They also have a great veggie co-op in the summer months, in the back of the store. They are a vegetarian establishment but also have vegan options, and everything is always amazing!

Excellent Food and Service - Edit
We stopped here after picking up my husband at the Trek of Maine finish line. On Sunday morning they serve breakfast which was delicious. There were many vegetarian options, our server was able to assist us with veganizing a few of them. Danny was friendly, helpful and attentive. We will visit again the next time we are in Belfast.

bustling, and fresh - Edit
We were unable to eat at Chase's on the day we stopped in because they were packed to the gills with over an hour wait for a table. The menu looked nice for it's local and healthful options, though it was not a very large menu. Many items were cheese-or-egg-based, though there were a few clear vegan choices that looked interesting. There were no vegan baked goods in the bakery section, but we completed all of our produce shopping for the week with the most gorgeous, fresh, organic produce we've seen in a long time. There were a ton of bins filled with Chase's-grown produce from which to choose. Staff were very helpful, though sparse during the bustling time.
Read morePros: the best local organic produce , local, organic menu, very popular
Cons: small menu, too packed to sit and eat on a Saturday, lots of eggs and cheese dishes

Fresh, fresh, fresh - Edit
I ordered the tofu banh mi, which was overwhelmingly delicious. The tofu was marinated and cooked to perfection, and it was also topped with fresh, crunchy veggies and herbs. The bread was also great, and all the ingredients were so fresh and complemented each other perfectly. One of the best sandwiches I've had in recent memory.
Read moreIt was served with a slaw, which was also amazing. The greens were crisp and flavorful, topped off with a delightful vinaigrette and sesame seeds. There were also two or three luscious, perfectly-cooked beet chunks on top.
The menu is a bit pricey (I think it was $13 for the banh mi + accompanying slaw), but you're getting great quality food.
There is also a cool farmstand-ish setup in the back. We got some Chinese broccoli (suiho) to go, and it was fantastic.
Pros: Amazingly fresh, Well-balanced, Farm fresh veggies for sale
Cons: Pricey

Worth the drive - Edit
One of my favorite things about Chase's Daily is that the owners grow the majority of the food that they use in the restaurant. All the vegetables are seasonal, and everything tastes fresh. During the growing season, they have a little farmer's market on the weekend where you can purchase some of their produce. Their heirloom tomatoes are sooooo good!
Read moreTheir restaurant has a homey interior that makes you feel like you are enjoying a nice meal at a friend's home. It is filled with light, and it has the feeling of an old, New England farm house.
The food is something special too. They serve breakfast and lunch regularly. Dinner is only on Fridays. This is probably the best meal of the week at Chases, and reservations are recommended.
Pros: vegetables as local as they come

Vegetarian heaven - Edit
If you are a vegetarian, this is about as good as it gets. If you aren't a vegetarian, this place could change your ways. Everything served is remarkably full of flavor and obviously very fresh. Despite the name, dinner is served only on Friday's. It's gets busy and sometimes the service can be a bit slow, but the quality of the food more than compensates. The pizzas are not emphasized on the menu but they should be. They can compete with best from NYC, New Haven, and Italy. Other entrees and sides are equally impressive. If you're anywhere near Belfast, you shouldn't miss it.
Read morePros: Menu is all vegetarian, Food and service consistently excellent
Cons: Although all vegetarian, vegan options more l, Dinner only served once a week

Not Vegan Friendly or Tasty - Edit
Nothing on the menu is vegan. They claim that they can make anything vegan, but of the 2 entrees' we had, neither tasted good. The burrito and the grits were bland and the potatoes were shredded fine and fried so deeply that they tasted like oil. DON'T waste your time going here if you want to enjoy a delicious cruelty-free breakfast!
