A couple of vegan options - Edit
Prince Rupert does not have a lot of vegan options anywhere so finding a couple of vegan dishes on the Crest Hotel’s restaurant menu is like a dream come true!
Read moreAs of late August 2024, the lunch menu had:
- Vegan Zen Bowl: marinated tofu, grapes, kale, sprouts, organic brown rice ancient grains, avocado, pumpkin seed, hemp seeds, tahini dressing
-Vegan Thai Peanut Curry: marinated tofu, spicy curry sauce, ginger, peanuts, chili vegetables, basmati rice
-edamame beans with sea salt
- heart of palm “calamari”: tender fried hearts of palm, lemon, vegan garlic aioli
The dinner menu offered the Vegan Zen Bowl as the only true vegan dish and there was a daily vegetarian dinner feature (which ideally could be modified to be vegan).
So, while the vegan options here may not be plentiful, it’s likely one of the only restaurants in this town with at least a couple of vegan choices!

Few vegan options, but good - Edit
The only dish on the menu that looks like it’s vegan — the ‘zen bowl’ — isn’t. But with a substitution, it’s delicious: crispy well-seasoned tamari tofu. And it’s a nice setting, looking out over the sea.

Cons: Very little vegan choice, Not cheap

Scenic sea view from this hotel restaurant offering some vegan options. We had a big salad with spinach, tomato, red beet, chickpeas, seeds, and Sichuan tofu.
