Great food

My wife and I travel often between Virginia and Windsor, Ontario and we usually stop mid way in Parkersburg WV. Chams offers a number of vegan options, the owners are very friendly and gracious, and the food was outstanding.

Some of our favorite vegan options include vegetarian (vegan) stew, foul m damas (delicious fava beans with garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil), and the usual Lebanese options like hummus, baba ghanouj, tabouli, and falafel.

Not that impressed,

I went here twice and thought it was pretty average at best. Pita/tabouleh tasted a little stale-ish both times I went. Falafel platter was not very good, but the falafel wrap was definitely the best thing I had. Also tried to figure out what was in the smoothies, but couldn't really get a clear response from the person on the phone.

Delicious Falafel Wrap

Food is delicious and made fresh. Owner was great to talk to and get suggestions from. The falafel wrap on homemade pia was excellent. Can't wait to return and try more. My friend had Fattoush which is a beautiful salad served with home made pita.

Pros: Wonderful vegan and vegetarian options, Food made fresh, Reasonable prices

Authentic flavors

Downtown, simple cafe, quiet on a Monday night. Quick service of complex dishes: falafel plate lushly buried in salad minty and dressed with tahini, Baba Ghanouj, crisp side salad In vinaigrette to accompany the vegan stew. In a region with very few gluten-free (must we batter and fry everything?) options, or vegan choices (really West Virginia? Everything must be topped with cheese?) Chams’ is a diamond in the rough!

Pros: Choice of vegan options , Great fresh flavors , Friendly chef

Cons: Ambiance could be improved

Delicious and fresh!

Before moving to Texas 11 years ago I would eat at this restaurant often. I was in town visiting family and stopped in for some lunch. The owners are still just as nice and inviting as they were when I lived here. Everything tasted super fresh and delicious. We got several apps to share at the table (tabbouleh, fattoush, grape leaves and hummus) and I ordered the falafel pita wrap for myself. Two family members have never been here so had questions and the owner happily answered them and thoroughly. Great place and highly recommended!

Love the Falafel Wrap

I work in downtown Parkersburg. The vegan options in the area are limited. Grabbing a falafel wrap at Chams is my go-to if I don’t pack a lunch. Their hummus and baba ganoush are excellent as well.

Pros: Great Food, Friendly Staff, Fast Service

Authentic homemade Lebanese food. Great vegan options.

Authentic and delicious. The food is over the top good. Everything is fresh and made on site. There are refrigerators visible that are full of fresh vegetables...a good sign. Although I'm way more comfortable in a 100% vegan restaurant....this is Parkersburg so that's not an option at this point. If you are cautious of the ingredients like I am - the owners are always there and are very open to how they make everything. I got the baba and vegetarian stew. Both were remarkably delicious!
