Love this place - Edit
It’s quite difficult to find vegan food in Cambodia. This place makes up for it. Beautiful creative dishes, amazing garden to eat out, friendly owners. They speak French (the owner is French). On the higher price range for Cambodia but well well worth it. Everything so fresh and delicious!

Just fine - Edit
We had the spring rolls, which were really good. As a main we had the vegetarian oysters (mushrooms). They were fine - tasty and seasoned well, but we wouldn't probably order it again. Service wasn't exactly warm or attentive, but it was Sunday and we were lucky to be still served food at 21.30 (while all of the other vegan places we checked were already closed). Portions were relatively small, prices were higher than your usual 'local' food prices, but it's sort of reasonable considering the location near the Pub Street. Good place for a bit more special night out, but not the place I would choose on a budget.

Cons: A tiny bit pricy and rather small portions

Everything is Amazing! - Edit
The ambiance, the staff, the food. All is simply amazing. A cozy and quiet ambience to enjoy a nice meal peacefully. I had the wedding dip, stuffed tofu and chocolate cake which were delicious! The plate presentations were outstanding. I visited the location off of National Road 6 which is now 100% vegan! ❤️ I highly recommend Chamkar to anyone looking for a quiet spot for a meal.

Delicious food! - Edit
Very nice place! After a long, hot day exploring Angkor Wat by bike it was great to have a delicious dinner in this small restaurant. We ordered the monsoon salad ($ 4.75), the mad eggplant lovers ($ 5.25) and the vegetarian oysters ($ 5.25), and everything was very delicious! For dessert we had the mellow treat ($ 2.75), “a traditional Cambodian cake flavoured with palm sugar and served with a sweet coconut and yam bran sauce”, as they describe. Eighteen dollars in total, a bit pricey comparing to many other places around the country but still in the average price within the area in the city where the restaurant is located. I would totally recommend Chamkar and would definitely eat there again.

My fave - Edit
This is my fave in Siem Reap. I did a vegan cooking class here on my first visit after eating there twice. I went back two years later and they treated me like a long list family relative. Love, love 💗 for this place and all the staff.

Excellent food - Edit
The place is a bit difficult to spot at night; despite maps pointing to the right place. The food and service here are really good. Tried and loved the Biting Amok, truly rooty and fresh spring rolls. The mango fruit shake was just fine. Truly rooty was a bit oily but eating it with the amok and rice made it fine. The menu specifies if a dish is vegan or not. I don’t remember seeing anything not vegan.

BEST VEGE AMOK IN TOWN!! - Edit
A small restaurant hidden down an alley near Pub Street. Easily the best meal I've eaten in Siem Reap. A vege/vegan take on classic Cambodian dishes.

Excellent vegetarian restaurant. All orders on their menus are vegan to the exception of 1 dish that contains cheese. We ordered rolls and wedding dipp as appetizers, khmer curry and mango salad as main meals. Very tasty

Great setting - Edit
Located just outside central Siem Reap in a converted traditional Khmer wooden house this is a good option for a special occasion or to go with a group. Similar all veggie menu to the other location in town with good quality fresh produce used to create a selection of authentic Cambodian dishes. Don’t miss out on the wedding day dip and the fresh spring rolls...

The Wedding Day Dip! - Edit
We've been big fans of Chamkar for years. We recommend their Wedding Day Dip and the pesto pasta, but really you can't go wrong. It's delicious! We also think they have great wine.
Read moreI do think they need to have wi-fi! I think the National Rd location has patchy wi-fi, but the Alley location does not have it. While for the most part it's possible to survive without wi-fi, if you're a digital nomad or travelling and working, you do really appreciate having connectivity. I find most places in Siem Reap have wi-fi so it's strange to me that they don't! It's just a small thing though.
The real reason to visit is the food!
Pros: Amazing food, Great wine
Cons: No wifi

first class vego restaurant - Edit
Chamkar - National Road is located in a small street off National Road ... the restaurant set well back from the street in a garden setting and provides first amenity ... there was a slightly different menu to the other Chamkar in the small arcade near Pub Street ... great service provided by friendly, attentive English speaking staff ... I went with an omni friend who was very impressed with her first vegan meal ... my curry and mushroom soup were absolutely delicious ... our 3 dishes, rice and drinks cost US$19.75

Try the wedding dip and the Amok. The food was great. The small terrace gives on the pedestrian way, so no cars nearby. The inside space is a little cramped. Recommended.

Great! - Edit
Vegan-friendly menu with 90% of the menu being vegan. Definitely recommend the Wedding Day Dip, it was incredible! They serve most of their dishes with organic brown rice and their vegetables are freshly picked from their garden, you can really taste the difference as their ethos is health-conscious. Delicious reasonably priced food, will definitely go back

Very good food, many choices, very friendly staff and nice garden setting - Edit
This restaurant had a good, diverse menu. I ended up eating too much because they had so many good options (which you don't have in any regular restaurant) you all want to try. The staff were very friendly too and the restaurant also has a very cozy atmosphere. The restaurant is half open, meaning you enter the restaurant where you can sit 'inside' but in the back the restaurant is open transforming into the garden area.

Vegan Heaven - Edit
Amazing food, lovely place! The restaurant is situated in the backyard of a traditional khmer house and the menu is mostly khmer. Very fresh ingredients - we ordered an aloe vera cocktail and they went to pick the aloe vera directly in the garden attached to the house. Most of the dishes are vegan (clearly indicated) and really delicious. More expensive then the simple restaurants in Siem Reap (from 3 to 6 USD) but their cuisine is much more refined and surprising.
Read moreI was with two non vegetarian friends and they loved it at least as much as I did. When we saw the food coming, we panicked thinking we ordered too much but all we left in the end was a bit of steamed rice ! Their mango ice cream in the end was just perfect (vegetarians should definitely try the cinnemon flavour). The staff were also very kind.
I was so many times disappointed by vegan and vegetarian restaurants but this one felt close to heaven for me:)
Pros: Delicious food - great flavours, Lovely place next to a garden, Kind staff
Cons: A bit hidden outside of the tourist areas

Delicious food, beautiful restaurant - Edit
I really enjoyed this restaurant! Everything that is vegan is labeled so on the menu and there are only a few dishes that aren't. I had the saraman curry, it was awesome and I love that it came with brown rice (not white like most places!). I would love to return and try some other dishes. My boyfriend and I were the only ones there at 530pm so I hope they get busier. The restaurant is surrounded by greenery and it is very comfortable.

Excellent Whole Food, Plant-based Traditional Khmer Dining - Edit
We ate at both locations and were thrilled to discover healthy, authentic plant-based dining in a lovely atmosphere. We ate three meals at Chamkar during our three day stay in Siem Reap. The newer location has a very attractive, partial open-air design on a side street off National Road 6 next to Cambodian BBQ. The original location is in town. The National Road location is much quieter. Highly recommend! Once we found this restaurant, we didn't look for any other place to eat.

I highly can recommend this wonderful restaurant / place; I enjoyed my dinner today very much. Healthy & delicious food from starter to dessert! Many vegan options on the menu, which are clearly declared. Ask for vegan ice-cream, since it's not declared on the menu. I received wonderful cinnamon & jackfruit ice-cream :-)

Nice Setting and Tasty Food - Edit
This restaurant is a newer branch of the original one that is based in town. This one is a bit out of town and is in a beautiful setting although there is a lack of atmosphere as it is not often very busy. Menu is the same as the other branch and the food (traditional Khmer) is very good. Chamkar House is the closest restaurant you will find to a vegan restaurant in Siem Reap since there is only one dish that isn't vegan and the other restaurants do all serve dairy or eggs.
