Tasty Indian Cuisine - Edit
Located in Millennium Garden next to the Kinema. You can sit inside (cash only) or you can sit outside in millennium garden and order from the same menu but can pay by card, which is what we opted for.
Read moreWe ordered the Aloo Gobi and Chana Masala, not realising they came with boiled rice (it does state on the menu, we were just too tired), so we also ordered the veg fried rice and a roti.
The food was tasty and well prepared. However the service was quite slow which was a bit of a letdown, not sure if it would have been quicker if we'd sat inside, but it was quite difficult to grab the attention of the millennium garden staff.
Overall, a decent place if you're fancying an Indian in Tirana.

Part of Millennium Garden - Edit
Couldn't find at first, the Chakra menu was part of the Millennium Garden restaurant, a few pages at the back. I had Palek Paneer which was with rice in a spinach sauce, but used Feta. It was nice but not cheap.

Liked their vegan options - Edit
They had a few vegan options like their daal and some rice items. This was our goto place when we stayed at Tirana. They also have some vegan cocktails.

Daal & aloo gobi - Edit
There are a few options for vegans - we went for the daal (thicker and less soupy than some daals in other Indian restaurants we’ve been to) and the aloo gobi. Both came with rice on the side at no extra charge. Overall on the pricier side for Tirana, but we thoroughly enjoyed the meal so didn’t mind. Servers ask for your preferred spice level when ordering (both went medium and it was perfect).

Absolutely best! - Edit
Say what you want but this is the restaurant as I like restaurants to be. Comfy, with great service knowing what veganism is, and with bunch of tasty food from few corners of the world. You get Indian, Thai and Mexican (this sadly without vegan plates). Perfectly served, tasty af. Both hands up for this place.

Menu reduced when ordering from Milenium garden - Edit
This place is a little bit to find, just Next top the kinema on the Milenium garden.
Read moreI was a bit confused about the things we could order. I saw many options on their menu(website), but apparently the menu is reduced if you seat on the milenium garden and order from there. Just 2 main dishes, and an appetizer.
Maybe ordering for takeaway allows you to order more things.
That said, the food was really good. Tasty and really delicious . A little bit pricy , but It is for sure not the most expensive on the city.
Pros: Delicious food
Cons: Expensive , Reduced menu - vegan options

Very delicious food - Edit
Finally found some decent veggie food after 4 weeks traveling. It's very tasty and would absolutely recommend going here, we went to the second restaurant they opened, it's next to the cinema in the pedestrian street in the city center, little bit hidden, but worth searching for.

My favourite restaurant in Albania - Edit
After travelling the entire country, I can say with absolute certainty that this is the best meal I've eaten in Albania.
Read moreSo many delicious flavours, lots of meals to choose from and fantastic service.
Located in a really nice part of the city. Beautiful decor and relaxing music.
I highly recommend that you visit.
I had the Channa Masala and my partner had the Aloo Gobi. Both delicious and excellent quality food. We will definitely be going back again
Pros: Lots of options for vegans

Delicious! - Edit
This might have been my favorite meal in Tirana so far. Apparently, this is the only Indian restaurant in all of Albania. I ordered the Channa Masala and vegetable spring rolls. Both were delicious. The vegetable spring rolls do come with two sauces that contain yogurt. I just didn't eat those and ate the two that were vegan. The channa masala was really delicious as well. It was a bit pricey for Albania, but nothing ridiculous.

Pricey but good Indian food - Edit
Lovely restaurant inside. The samosas were excellent and the curries were good but it was quite pricey for the small amount of food served at the price.

Decent meal - Edit
This place is a bit out of the city centre - around 30min walk from the main square.
Read moreHad samosas and two curries which all came out at the same time and extremely quick. The curries were good - not the best I’ve had by a mile - but good enough. Portions were a little on the small side. It seemed super expensive by Albanian standards.
Pros: nice staff, spacious restaurant
Cons: expensive, small portion for the price, vegan not specifically labelled

Nice place - Edit
While it is not the best indian food I have ever tried, it is great to have a place like this Tirana. The venue looks nice, and the staff was very friendly as well. NOTE: come early as the kitchen closes way before the specified closing time.

Horrible place - Edit
I can only recommend this place if you absolutely cannot find anything else.
Read moreI doubt that anyone related to this restaurant has ever had any contact to the Indian kitchen. The food is flavourless and is filled up with mixed frozen vegetables (interesting to have a curry with sweet corn...). I suspect that the sauces are from pre-made glasses bought in a super market.
Considering the low quality of food, it is rather amazing that this is one of the most expensive restaurants I have seen in Tirana. Prices are among western European levels and 2-3 times above normal prices in Tirana.
Although clearly stating a deadly allergy to peanuts, my partner ended up almost suffocating from a reaction - which didn't seem to bother the staff much.
Cons: VERY EXPENSIVE, flavourless food

Vegans will be full and happy !! - Edit
I highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you are vegan and urge you to go there even before you get sick of ordering vegetarian pizzas without cheese, spaghettis napolitana, and salads and fries at all other restaurants.
Read moreLocation and atmosphere: 20mins walk from the center. Location may seem weird + every time we were there, we were the only guests at the moment (im guessing people here do not "dig" indian food/restaurants/restaurants which are not near blloku, or our timing was not right since we were here at winter) but don't let that scare you if it happens since the atmosphere is very cozy and nice even like that.
Staff and ordering: Menu is great (red=meat, green=vegetarian, etc) with list of ingredients and pictures. Two very friendly and helpful guys there will also make it clear what is vegan, what can be made vegan and what can't.
Food: All food we ate was incredible. Noodles with vegetables is a must!, spring rolls are also must, and vegetable and mushroom meals/gravies (numbers 53-55 or something like that on menu) with all kinds of different awesome rice (we ate lemon/peanut/curry, cashew/raisins/curry and cumin(?) ones, numbers 100+ on menu) since sadly all those indian bread-things contain yoghurt. There is more stuff in menu we haven't tried like things similar to spring rolls, soups, etc.. Portions seem small because of the (rather cool looking) dishes in which they come but in reality are big enough. I will try to upload picture of the food described (it was dinner for two), minus spring rolls.
Happycow doesn't let me give 5 stars, but as a vegan-option restaurant in Albania, with options as good as they are, it deserves all 5.

Great Indian Food - Edit
Dinner here was a very pleasant change from the food available in most of Albania. They do serve meat but the menu contained a large vegetarian selection much of which was also vegan. The portions were huge and the food delicious. The waiter was lovely. It's about a 20 min walk from the city centre and well worth it.
