We tried to come on Monday but they were closed. Came for lunch Tuesday and they did not disappoint!

Read moreThe vegan plate was full of variety, stunning flavours, some raw elements. I’m still raving about the lemon beans and the walnut dip. Two vegan desserts on the menu ( such a treat). Thanks to the staff, especially Sonja, for seamless service.

Mitten in der Altstadt hat der Brite Kevin hier ein einzigartiges kleines Restaurant mit internationalem Flair geschaffen. Es gibt Regionale und auch internationale Küche. Auf der Karte stehen zwei vegane Gerichte, auf Nachfrage gibts auch mehr. Sehr hübsches Ambiente und der Service ist wirklich einzigartig. Sollte man machen wenn man in Olhao ist 🤓

Order the chefs vegan plate of the day - Edit
Make a reservation. I managed to get lunch spot yesterday right at opening, ordered the chef’s vegan plate of the day, which includes a variety of the many vegan side dishes that change daily. Everything was delicious, and I came in with very high expectations from following their IG account for the last 2 years. Standouts were the grilled eggplant with lemon tahini and the butter beans. The dessert menu had a vegan chocolate tart and a vegan lemon tart. Both were incredibly good.

No vegan option on menu.. - Edit
..but the staff is super helpfull and they make you something without cheese etc. Menu changes daily, for me it was beans with spinach (without ricotta), house salad and potatoes with herbs- everything was really good.

Set back from the main stretch of Olhão is a lovely rustic restaurant. Although there weren’t loads of options on the menu, and they aren’t labelled vegan, they were knowledgeable about how to turn the veggie options to vegan. We had small tapas like dishes that were very tasty. Great food and setting.

A relief to have a choice! - Edit
This little restaurant was recommended by friends, so we thought we would try it out. It certainly surpassed our expectations with fresh locally sourced produce which was tasty and well presented. The staff were really helpful making suggestions for additional dishes and taking into account further dietary requirements. The only 'almost' con was that the vegetarian/vegan selections seemed to be included with the starters, but when the dishes arrived, they seemed to be full sized portions - a good thing, obviously but perhaps this could be mentioned up front to allay any concerns.
