Lovely veg spot - Edit
I was a little skeptical about this place because I don't like it when veganism/vegetarianism is associated with health, yoga, "holistic" stuff etc. Those kind of places usually make the blandest tasting food too. But today I finally decided to give them a chance and it turns out I was wrong this time. Their food was tasty and very satisfying, with many vegan options marked with a V symbol. The prices were fair too. The only downside is that because it's very central and they're only open during lunch hours, there's always a long queue. Other than that it's perfect. I would rate them 5 stars if they were fully vegan.

Fantastic! - Edit
Delicious and healthy, a welcome break from pasta and pizza! Lots of choices, everything except one thing was vegan. Went at 1pm and got served straight away, no issue with queuing. Good portion size too.

Organic, healthy and enough options - Edit
Caffeteria style, open for lunch, nice choice of organic food but the que is ridiculously long and it takes forever.

The idea is nice, but the food it's not the tastiest - Edit
The idea is nice, and the place too.
Read moreIt's very cozy and friendly.
But the food is not very tasty, both savory and sweet dishes, as an Italian, in my opinion could be done better.
And finally, for what we eat, I think that the it's quite expensive.

Nice Cafeteria Food - Edit
It serves a varying menu cafeteria style. You pick a plate size that comes with 2 to 4 items, the pick what items you want on the plate. Water is only 10 cents, and there's no cover charge. Some food can be heavy, but there are always light selections. Given Bologna's tendency towards heavy food, it's a great place to get a break from the heavy Bolognese food for something healthier.
Read morePros: Light food, No cover, cheap water, cheaper than high end veg, Wide selection every day
Cons: You can eat cheaper at a few other veg places

Very nice food and friendly staff - Edit
Restaurant is part of a wellness centre.
Read moreThe two days I stayed in Bologna I was there twice for lunch because it was so delicious. They have very healthy and delicious food and everything vegetarian and organic. The selection changes daily. I had the four tastings (quattro assaggi) so I could taste the most of it. Everything was great.
The staff is very friendly and speaks English.
The prices are very reasonable (13 € for a big plate) and I got full (and I’m very hungry 😀).
The location is very nice. It’s in a side street where it’s no so crowded so it’s mainly visited by Italians not tourists and it’s very quiet. Nice place to have a break from busy Bologna.

Great place for lunch - Edit
I usually go there for lunch break once or even twice a week. It's a vegetarian canteen but actually most of the dishes are vegan. You have plenty of options to choose, they change every day and you'll never grow tired. Definitely recommended.

Fast and very tasty - Edit
Typical canteen vibe just around the corner where Two Towers stand. Plenty of options, creativity, staff is calm and friendly. No need to wait, everything gets picked up at the buffet. Looking at the portion size, the price could be a bit cheaper.

Hidden gem - Edit
I guess if you don't look for it you won't find it.
Read moreBut when you step in, you instantly feel relaxed by the atmosphere in there. The restaurant is more a canteen, not fancy at all, but it is a calm spot right in the city centre and the food was very satisfying and tasty. Would definitely go there again.
They always put their lunch menu on their homepage at 11am. But don't worry: there are lots of yummy options to choose every day to please everyone.

Cibo veg di qualità/ High Quality Veg food - Edit
Of all the places specialized exclusively in vegetarian cousin in Bologna, this one is characterized by the highest ingredients quality -fresh, organic and cooked in a way that keeps all their properties. Extremely tasty as well!

Great food! One of the highlights of our visit to Bologna. - Edit
What a lovely place!
Read moreA clean, tidy and bright canteen in what looks like a natural health centre (I guess). Go in, go past the reception, turn left - and you're in for a treat.
Food is a mix of super tasty, local, seasonal vegetarian and vegan food with a lot of Italian dishes (something I always love to see in Italy!).
If you're after a vegan meal - the menu is marked (as well as dietary options like gluten-free etc). If I remember correctly - it's in Italian. I found it helpful to see what's available, but then you stand in front of all the food when ordering anyway so it'd be easy to just pick whatever looks good to you (I'm sure the staff would assist you in making sure your dish of choice is vegan). There are individual prices on things but all we've done was choosing the plate size (1-2 dishes fit on small, 3-4 on large and there's a medium one as well). Pricing for all three sizes is similar, so guess what I've done... Yes, large please :), around 11 Euro if my memory serves me well.
The food was really tasty and satisfying and we felt like bouncing back to life after a couple of days of eating junk food. We came back gain, then even tried to eat there again before leaving Bologna but we were a bit too early.
The staff were very friednly and helpful and I could definitely see they're quite passionate about what they're doing.
If I'm ever back in Bologna I'll be there in a blink of an eye.
Pros: Very tasty and satisfying food!, Nice, clean and relaxed unpretentious setting, Friendly staff

Best vegetarian restaurant in Bologna - Edit
I love this place. From the moment you step on the facilities you can feel the relaxed atmosphere and smell the amazing food is being prepared. I come here often every time I’m in Bologna and I keep coming back. This is a buffet style restaurant. You can select specific dishes or a mix of one or two options. I recommend choosing two options among the ones available. Every day you choose among different options. In “centro natura” you can also engage in other activities that are available such as yoga classes. Very recommended.

One of my favorites - Edit
I love this place. Lots of choices for vegans, all clean, healthy dishes that give you a real nutrient and fiber boost if you've been traveling and living on a diet of pizza and pasta. It's very busy--we arrived just 20 min. before the lunch period closed and ended up with just soup (but a filling, tasty soup).
Read moreThe menu on the wall and signs over the dishes indicate which dishes are vegan. Unfortunately, my partner asked for the potato salad, which was marked vegan, only to find it had chunks of egg in it. We took it back and the staff was apologetic and replaced it and changed the signs. The little signs also list the ingredients (in Italian) so read the signs, as the next time we went we saw something else with egg in it with a "V" for vegan mark.
In spite of these slip ups, it's still one of my favorite places in Bologna.
Pros: Lots of vegan choices, Clean, healthy food, Helpful staff
Cons: Non-vegan items were marked 'vegan', Can be crowded at peak times

Great veggie & vegan self-service cafeteria - Edit
What Centronatura is:
Read more- a self-service style cafetaria.
- a big place (it's part of a 1200sqm health center, and the restaurant itself has 4 different rooms), very well located in the heart of Bologna's centro storico.
The food is diverse and tasty, simple and unpretentious, but yet yummy ideas of vegetables, cereals, seitan or tofu mixes. For lunch (I think the dinner menu is a bit more expensive), it's pretty cheap, 10€ for a 3 dishes combo that will probably fill you up.
It might be not the best decoration or atmosphere for a restaurant, but the staff is nice, and the place is quiet, good, and healthy! I just wish such a place would exist in Paris.
Pros: tasty, Good value, Location

Good, unpretentious food - Edit
A very friendly place, with staff happy to help a hapless Englishman. I had been a little worried that Centra Natura might be one of those 'holier than thou' health-churches; speaking personally, my body is NOT a temple, more an abused vintage vehicle lucky to pass its MOT. But I need not have worried. The food was delicious and NOT over-priced- 10 euros for a three-serving main dish, 3.85 for a dessert. I like the self-service styling, less intimidating than waiting staff, and the atmosphere was relaxed and sociable. The cook I spoke to was very charming and understanding. Get there early; when I left, there were dozens of people queueing to be served- it's that good, it's that popular.
