The food at celery was okay, however it did not come close to our expectations given the >100 5 star reviews on happy cow. We suspect that perhaps some bots may be involved with their ratings.

During our 5 day stay on Cat Ba we came here every day for at least 2 out of 3 meals or coffee.
Read moreThe menu is fairly simple with both western and Vietnamese options and we tried quite a few items.
Everything was simply presented but really tasty.
Celery is a little cheaper than other places offering vegan food maybe because it’s away from the tourist strip on the sea front and up a bit of a hill. However we prefer the food here and it’s good to know it’s completely vegan, many of the cafes that offer vegan food include egg and cheese - just keeps it easy to order!

We only had the chance for some afternoon tea but ordered the banana pancakes and the mango sticky rice as well as lemongrass tea. The food was perfect as a pick-me-up to fuel us for the rest of the day. The service was charming. I wish I had the chance to return to try other items from an extensive menu.

Amazing prices and you can eat a lot for a low price compared to other restaurants.
