There were lots of authentic options for people wanting to try Sardinian food, we came here 3 times and didn’t run out of things to try.

A Bit of a Disappointment - Edit
I usually am so happy to find a vegan/plant based restaurant that they start out with high marks. I loved the bruschetta, but the artichoke hearts were hard to eat (the choke still present). Many of the items were fried. It might have been a plant-based menu, but it was NOT whole food. I must say it was nice that the chef and owner visited with me, as I feel she takes constructive criticism seriously. She told me about the market: "Mercato San Benedetto" that we found had wonderful fruits and vegetables.

Great vegan food & service - Edit
Everything is vegan here inspired by local cuisine, which is great. We had the gnocchi and the polpettone, both delicious. The quantities could have been a bit larger for hungry bellies, but still fine. Service was outstanding and sitting outside was really chilled out.

Read moreThe appetizer took ages to come out. It took almost an hour from when we sat down to when we got our food. Our dishes were not served together. We are slow wine drinkers … our wine was gone before the food ever came.
They charges too much on the bill- too many coperto’s and too many waters.
The toilet has a sign to flush 2-3 times but it took 13 to actually flush it.
Outside seating available but none in the sun.
After such great reviews, very disappointing.
The typical Sardinian pasta was not tasty and .. to no fault or their own, looked like meal worms.
We didn’t taste anything to write home about. Had planned to order dessert but with the poor timing, service, and taste, we didn’t want to give them anymore of our money. Safe to say we won’t be returning. #Veganuary

Great drinks, great food, great evening - Edit
We had a fantastic evening. The drinks, that the barkeeper suggested, were all a perfect fit for me and my wife. The bruschetta was something completely new too us (not just tomatoes and basil), but very, very good. The main courses were also great. We had the typical sardine pasta. The cheesecake at the end was also fantastic. We planned to just have a short dinner here, but in the end we stayed for hours and had more drinks and enjoyed the time very much. So much, that we came back the next day to try the tasty burger.

Cavo has a variety of typical Italian and Sardinian food as well as international dishes like burgers and fries. The staff is really nice and friendly and attentive and help you with your choice. We had the Sardinian pasta and the cheese burger and the cheesecake. The food was really good but I would have preferred organic produce to heavily processed things like Beyond Meat, which was used for the Burger and in the pasta sauce.

Unfortunately, the bathroom was beyond dirty and the flush in both the mens and ladies room was broken.

The food was amazing and the staff was helpful and super friendly. It was very expensive but that’s what you already know before you go there😄Even though the size of the portions was pretty small we were full enough afterwards. Maybe they use a lot of fat for cooking.

Omg, I love this restaurant so so much 🥰 The food is high quality, all is organic. We were 5 times during our vacation there because it was soo good:) My favorite was the bruschettone and cashew e pepe pasta 😍 and the cheesecake was the best dessert I’ve ever had 😍 We had also the chili pepper pasta, mushroom nuggets, gnocchis and zoodles with pesto, all of them was so yummy ☺️ The Service is also perfect, very kindly people 🤍 We were in so many vegan restaurants in so different countries, but this one is our winner 🥰

Great location in one of the most popular streets, fantastic cocktails and mocktails, delicious food… super friendly and quick staff, we didn’t have to wait long even though it was full. We had the gnocchi and campesina pasta, cocktails with rosemary and one called wonderland, the cheesecake for dessert - everything was amazing!

We had a great dinner here. The bruschettone is to do die for, so good! Also the pasta, the parmigiana, and the warm browny for dessert were delicious. Friendly service and right in the center of Cagliari. Also very accommodating to our gluten-free restrictions, most dishes could be adapted to be gluten-free.

I visit Cagliari once in a while and since I am vegan I needed to try food in Cavo bistrot! I was not dissapointed. I had "parmiveg" - from main courses- only eggplant here is served hot, the rest is fresh, very tasty. I also tried the pasta with mushrooms and saffron with pasta that they have done on their own -delicious! Desserts I tried and shared with my company: brownie and cashew cheesecake ; both very decadent 😉 And very good coffee! I recommend😊

Yummy pasta in the busy street - Edit
I really recommend this very nice restaurant in the city centre of Cagliari! We had yummy pasta with tomato sauce, eggplant and vegan ricotta cheese, as well as a cup of delicious coffee. Also got some bread and olives for free. We ate outdoors and we watched with pleasure the fast-paced environment. What I can't forget to mention is that the staff was really kind to us!
