Nett eingerichteter Mexikaner

Sehr liebevoll eingerichteter Mexikaner mit guter veganer Auswahl. Bietet selbstgemachte Kombuchas an.

Good food but not the best service.

The cafe is really lovely, no AC but it's okay when it's not too hot. The curry wrap and burrito tasted quite nice, but the staff weren't very attentive. There's a nice mix of things on the menu (not all vegan) and it seems like a lot of things can be made vegan, but unfortunately they were out of some things.

Pros: Nice cafe

great restaurant

one of my favorite restaurants in CM
the owner is super friendly and you can tell that she loves doing what she is doing! the service is ok. the food is made quite quickly.
the menu is not too big, which I like. they have vegan options, but you can make also most things vegan, they are open to that. Their meals are quite big, super yummy and filling and the prices are very good!
their chocolate-banana-coffee smoothis is my favorite.

Thoughtless, subpar food

Ordered the oat porridge (couldn't swap for soy milk, so they probably don't cook it to orther). Was less than impressed with what I got - there was not much there, oats, coconut milk, some raisins and about 4 slices of banana on top. Taste wise it was just a mess, not thought has gone into the dish.

Also ordered some black tea, which came as a tea bag and cost me 40BHT, which I though was a bit excessive.

Maybe the other food is better, but looks like a hit or miss, so I would avoid going there. Load of other options in CM serving similar (and better tasting) food.

Pros: Subpar, thoughtless food, expensive

Great food, great prices

Probably the best food we had in Chiang Mai. As a couple we spent 200b and got a burrito w a small side salad and an Indian curry w rice and a small side salad. Great taste, portion size and prices. We will be back.

Get the tea leaf salad

First time I’d ever tried Burmese food, in particular fermented tea leaf salad, so I had no idea what it was “supposed” to taste like - but it was delicious! Fresh, crunchy, very spicy, and a big portion. My boyfriend had the burrito and said it was good but not great - bummer they charge 40 baht extra to veganize it by swapping the cheese for avocado. They make their own kombucha here which is cool.

Pros: delicious salad, chilled place with lots of plants, moderately priced

Cons: extra charge to swap out cheese

Great hummus but otherwise just an OK place

I've been there twice while living in a hostel in front of it. The place is cool and offers many vegan options, mostly on request, and the staff is friendly. I ordered twice the hummus, one time with falafels. The hummus is very good with a lot of garlic and the falafels were OK. I also tried their vegan coconut ice cream that lacks a little bit flavors (and they put corn inside). On the whole, you can try it when in the area but I would not cross the city for it. And like many western food in Chiang Mai, it's a bit pricey.

Pros: many vegan options, cool place, friendly staff

Cons: not 100% vegan, a bit pricey

Nice

The food is nice and they can accommodate almost everything to be vegan. The menu has a good variety and some interesting and unique dishes. The curries are a bit on the small side though. Go for the falafel and hummus which is an excellent vegan dish. It's a nice place to sit in a great location just off the moat road in the old city. Foreigners like to come here and there is a nice atmosphere. Beer and wine are available. Also has a good vegan cake selection, which is quite rare in Chiang Mai.

Fabulous western food

I really enjoyed the burrito & hummus/pita, while my partner enjoyed the veggie fries & a tomatoey shanooshka(?) with eggs. A little pricey (I generally prefer to pay less for local food) but good portion sizes & quiet side street location.

Pros: Fab western food

Cons: Higher end of the western vegan food range

Decent burrito, doesn’t live up to the hype though

We ordered the vegan burrito with tofu.. was pretty good but not amazing, would have preferred to spend my money elsewhere tbh... there are so many other spots that have way better quality food for a fraction of the price.. spent 220 baht for two burritos, you can get like 4 or 5 other meals for that amount! If you’re craving something other than thai might be worth the visit but otherwise go to the other veg spots nearby

Pros: friendly service , big portions

Cons: expensive

absolutely amazing!

The Burmese tea leaf salad is out of this world! So flavorful and the portion is huge. They make their own kombucha, very tasty and the real deal. This is my first visit and it instantly became one of my favorite places in town. Happy cow rating system is seriously wrong! It doesn’t reflect on the quality of food at all. It allows you to rate inly 4 * if the place is not completely vegan. This amazing relaxing place needs the 5* rating.

Pros: great variety of tasty healthy food and drinks, ni

great vegan burrito

We had the lentil burrito that comes with salad and mango dressing. It had so much flavour (very tasty) and is very filling. Staff are friendly and speak good English. The best meal we had in Chiang mai☺️ They also had a vegan chocolate cake but they'd sold out by the time we went there!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best veggie food, awesome menu

This is one of the best places we have been in Chiang Mai (maybe Thailand) for veggie and vegan food. Most of the menu is veggie or vegan, with the option to add meat if desired. Burrito is unreal. Added tofu and avocado and took off the cheese. Vegan dessert options included brownie, nut brownie and banana & chocolate cake. Lovely owners.

Pros: Lots of vegan options including dessert. excellent

i would give this place 5 stars if happy cow would let me...

apparently happy cow has an (understandable) limitation on restaurants that are only "veg-options", meaning the most you can vote them is 4 stars. normally that would be enough, but the vegan options that the cat house does have had me coming back so much that it ended up being me and my friends (both vegan) second most frequented restaurant in 3 months living in chiang mai.

we actually got the impression that this place was a vegan restaurant with MEAT options, not the other way round. the menu seemed to be mostly vegan or vegetarian, and then you could choose to add beef, pork, chicken or tofu to it, or not, in which case they just give you more veges!

make sure you tell the staff you're vegan when you order though, so they know whats up, but it won't be a big deal.

i'd highly recommend the BURRITO and the BURMESE TEA LEAF SALAD. at the time we were there they had a Gado Gado as a special, and boy was it good too. i tried the lentil soup, the falafels, and the green salad and they were all incredible too. i could be forgetting something, but i can not forget how i was not only never disappointed with anything i ordered, but very very satisfied with it! everything.

in the fridges, they had some cold drinks including kombucha, which was a nice touch.

interestingly, they ONLY serve black rice here. normally you pay extra for this, but its standard here, which was awesome.

Pros: best salads!, very unique, must try burrito, free water with ICE

Mouth on Fire!

Currently sweating in oblivion as I attempt to get this Burmese salad down - wish there had been some warning from the staff or the menu but alas, I guess I'm in Thailand now right?

It definitely has flavour though, and I doubt I'll need another meal for a while because portions are enough for two!! Coconut, passion fruit, banana smoothie was also thick and creamy.

Pros: MASSIVE portions, nice staff & quick service, tasty

Cons: no warning of HEAT

Go the burrito!

While there's lots of meat on the menu many items can be veganised, just ask the staff. The burrito was huge and delicious, the eggplant chips were great too. I tried a cocktail but it wasn't very nice, so I recommend sticking to the food.

Pros: Burrito, Flexibility in their menu

Cons: Cocktails
