Order at the bar. A piano is available for anyone who can play. Reservations available, not necessary for under 3 people. Max table size 8 people, group booking for up to 18 a day in advance. Heating & Air-con. Companion animals welcome (despite the name no cats live at the venue). Relocated from C/ Boria 17. Open Mon-Sat 18:00-23:30, Sun 18:00-23:00. Read moreMe and my husband shared 2 burgers. I picked the black bean burger which tasted amazing. My husband picked the spicy one, the patty wasn't as good as a the black bean.
Potatoes were as good as we remembered. The sauce over the top is really good!

I believe it's the oldest vegan Restaurant in barcelona. Verl lovley, cozy place. They offer good food and a selection of beers. Very friendly owners. Go there, be nice and respectful and you will be looked after.

Once you've adjusted to the cat paraphernalia, the food isn't actually very zany or bold. Have to commend the tofish, though, they did a great job with that, can't lie. The black cat burger was also alright but not so special, felt like a bit of a throwback the dozens and dozens of black bean burgers I've tried as a veggie/vegan over the years when going out. The burger buns for both were quite tough and the patatas bravas on the side were stodgy and soggy. The guest beer I tried was carrot cake. Didn't taste like it at all, so was pretty underwhelmed. Wine came in funny glasses. Just give us wine glasses and don't try be interesting. Prices were appropriate for what we got, fairly generous portions, so fair play. Oh well! Good to go to an all vegan place but I don't think I'd go back here.

All the beers change regularly, there is no guest beer, you can taste them before ordering so you get something you like, or we have Estrella Galicia in bottle, if you don't want an intersesting beer.

My wife and I really liked it … The To- Fish is awesome. But strongly suggest you get it without the Bread 🍞, as it can over power the taste of the To-fish … and if you get the cactus 🌵, ask to have the catsup on the side… also know once you find a table … you will need to go up to the bar to order 🤔

I had the fried cactus with salad and my friend had the tofish with chips and salad. Grilled cactus is definitely interesting and it was my first time trying it. I like that they added jalapeños to it. The tofish was neat, nothing special, but also not bad. Chips were really nice and the salad was excellent: fresh, with a lot of variety, and good seasoning. The best part: the beers! A nice selection of about nine beers, including Berliner Weiße and sours, which usually may contain lactose. No cats in sight, but there was a dog, and the interior design is cool.

Love the British vibes & the quirkiness - Edit
I moved to Spain last summer from the UK, I don't miss it in the slightest but it was funny to eat in a bar in Barcelona with such British vibes! I really wanted to try their to-fish & chips and I wasn't disappointed: it was delicious. Portions are huge too, so it's ideal when you're a bit hungry. They're not exactly quick to serve but it's worth the wait. Nobody played the piano when we've been but I imagine it's quite lively in the evenings.

The place is not huge, so you should expect to wait during meal times. If, however, you arrive outside of those times, you should have no trouble finding a table. The decor is eclectic and fun, with what appears to be bits and pieces collected over many years.
Read moreThere are not a lot of options on the menu, but what they make is excellent! We had the fish & chips and the red cat burger with patatas bravas. Everything appeared to be made on site and the portions were generous for a reasonable price.
The woman behind the bar was friendly and patient, explaining everything to us in English.
If we lived in Barcelona, this is a place we would visit often.
