Welcoming place with good food - Edit
We had the lunch menu (Starter, soup and Main course for 6 Euro) and were very pleased. The entire place has a welcoming atmosphere. We would go there again.

Love the food and the vibe! - Edit
I love this place! The vibe is relaxed and the francesinha was delicious. They make their own seitan and kombucha!

Alternative vibe but fun - Edit
This place isn’t strictly a restaurant, more an association focussing on being veggie and the preserving the earth (so definitely hippie vibes) but I liked it. There’s only two main meals offered each day. Food was nice and they have live singers most nights.

Cheap and cozy - Edit
Had a cheap francesinha that was really tasty. Really cozy mood. It’s not a restaurant, so I recommend leaving a tip, since the prices are so low and the staff super nice!

This place is a total gem - Edit
We went here straight from the airport and it felt so homely, local and honest. Super nice staff, simple but good vegan food, amazing teas, home made kombucha and all the things, I personally love! Creative, hippy, good vibe😄

Love it - Edit
This is a sort of community center, which hosts activities like debates and serves food and drinks. Don't expect fancy food or very professional service. I'm not saying this as a criticism of the place, which I love, just as a warning for tourists who might think that this is just another café/restaurant. To be clear, the space is supposed to be open only to members of the NGO, because of legal obligations, but no one will stop anyone who's not an associate from going in.
Read moreThe food is usually good, although with some occasional flaws that come from the fact that many of the people who work here are international volunteers who come to Portugal under voluntering programmes. That never stopped me from going there but, again, don't expect fancy food. Just nice and cheap food in a friendly and nice environment.
Pros: Beautiful place, Friendly staff
Cons: Food quality can vary

Beautiful cozy place, nicely decorated and very interesting cultural point. The food was nice and inexpensive, we had soup, the special dish and some tea in the end, it was all really tasty. A great experience, nice atmosphere and it serves a good cause.

Great value, good food - Edit
Ate here twice on our holiday. We never usually go somewhere twice but as this place has a menu that changes each day, is supporting a good cause and is amazing value we decided to go again. We spent €20 including a bottle of wine and had tasty food. It’s cooked by volunteers so there’s no point going if you want quick service but they were very nice and were as good as any waiters we had elsewhere. Definitely would go here again if in Porto.

Cultural and Environmental Association -- With Food! - Edit
This is a unique place, an interesting take on sharing space and resources.
Read moreWe were here just to eat lunch but I would like to return to take part in other events. The pumpkin soup, hummus, lentil dish and grape juice were all delicious and appreciated.
It's in a very accessible area of Porto so check it out.
Pros: Great staff, Not just a restaurant!

Felt at home here - Edit
The restaurant’s ethos seems to be on socialist values, it harbors a welcoming environment and we felt completely at home here. The food is not a la carte but it’s very tasty and healthy. We had a wonderful vegan dinner with organic vegan labeled wine and it was excellent value for money.

And you hunger for the time - Edit
Pure cooperative socialist left leaning ultra unpretentious place. It was a pleasure to belong here for one night. We had the soup, a couple of mains, beer and a bottle of organic vegan wine all for €25. It doesn’t matter about the cost here, it’s all about contributing to the cause. The food is simple but full of flavour and purpose. Tonight it was tofu with a spicy tomato sauce and a black bean goulash. This isn’t mainstream. It’s not a place for posers or those who like to have their wine poured. Welcome to the vegetable garden. I felt at home here

A quaint and interesting interior, felt like a grotto.
Read moreSO happy to have found this wonderful establishment. The waitress, who was actually a volunteer for European work corp of some sort, was kind and helpful and spoke English.
Just a few lunch choices but the food was really tasty and fresh and lunch included a glass of wine.
Very inexpensive.
Desert was a treat since it is nearly impossible to find a vegan baked good in Porto or Portugal generally speaking!
Pros: Lovely and delicious meal, Very inexpensive, Pleasant environment
Cons: Hard to find, Not truly a restaurant setting

ok - Edit
Place is very typical of Porto. Bathroom really small. Close to some main attractions. Staff was normal. Food was ok, not that flavourful in my opinion. Wouldn't say I'd go back but it is decent for a meal just to get you over.

We had a fantastic lentil burger with rice and salad for 4€. Adding a chocolate cake with chili for 1.5€, it made our lunch fantastic. They sell also organic and vegan products.

Inexpensive meal - Edit
All vegan food. Over two days I tried all three available bottles of artisanal beer. For lunch I had the soup (spinach- broccoli- potato, I think), served with some broad beans and bread drizzled with olive oil mixed with yeast, for only €1,20. I took away a generous piece of dense, chocolate-glazed cake. Very modest prices. Cosy venue that evidently holds language classes and other activities during the week. Outdoor seating available.

Cheap, tasty and friendly - Edit
As you enter there's a little shelf where you can buy small items (menstrual cups, eco green earrings (I think they also let people who run small businessess sell there their thing there). The restaurant itself is downstairs in an old cellar and you can smell the old! People who work there can be volunteers and they are very nice! That night there was a gathering to learn italian (they have there several events during the week). People would eat and speak italian (there were portuguese and italian people). You can really sense a spirit of community. As for the food, it is very cheap and tasty! I had an amazing juice (forgot of what it was) and there was a little game you played (like a question you needed to answer correctly and if you were the first one to get it right you would have a free drink). The dessert was also very good! Such an amazing place! :D

Recomendo.
