Delicious - Edit
We were nicely surprised to find a vegetarian restaurant in this remote area of Costa Rica. To our pleasant surprise, the vegetarian three course dinner was exquisite. Also breakfast is vegetarian and had several vegan options. We will definitely recommend this beautiful place and will come back soon.

The Casa Botania location is spectacular, perched on a hillside near San Vito, with great views, bird and butterfly -friendly plantings; the B&B has its own greenhouse & gardens
Read moreto supply fresh veggies and herbs for meals. meals are generous and the menu is inventive, and the wonderful host-chef Kathleen was able to accommodate our vegan requests. Breakfast includes a tropical fruit smoothie, tropical fruit platter, house-baked breads , jams and tomato-avocado -basil salad . For ovo-lacto diners, the standard guest breakfast included crêpes or eggs, and Kathleen offered us a delicate oat porridge one morning and the Costa Rican traditional black beans and rice the next . The three course dinner is by reservation and well worth it with a variety of international flavors like tomato-basil bruschetta, spicy lentil soup, stuffed portobello mushrooms , cous-cous. Desserts featured tropical fruits in unusual , tasteful presentations .
Pros: Fresh local produce, Home made breads and jams , Innovative cuisine --pure vegetarian or vegan
Cons: A limited number of rooms!
