Amazing!!!!!!!!!!! - Edit
Okay, this place is pricey, but it’s sooo delicious!! We got the potato dish, and it’s insanely tasty. The flavor pops!! And the pear cocktail is a treat every time I get one! Seriously stop here sometime if you want a special dinner or appetizer and a cocktail! Super fancy and historical! This place is named after the movie theater that showed Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs for the first time!!

Seriously good! - Edit
The gnocchi is seriously good. There’s not much else vegan besides the artichoke starter (great flavor), but they customized the Brussels for me and … wow! Great service! They were very careful with my dietary needs!

Vegan Gnocchi - Edit
I was excited when we were able to get a table despite not having a reservation, but I was a bit disappointed with my overall experience, especially given the cost of dining here. My husband and I were seated at a table close to the wall, which is understandable given the fact that we didn’t have a reservation. A party with a crying baby was seated next to us, which is not entirely their fault but still takes away from the experience. But again, the table we were seated at may have to do with the fact that we didn’t have reservations. They don’t have any vegan options listed on their menu, but I read in the reviews that they had off-the-menu vegan dishes and decided to give it a try. The two vegan options they gave me were pasta or gnocchi with veggies. I ordered the pasta, but ended up being served gnocchi, which I wasn’t too mad about as the gnocchi was delicious! Everything about this dish was perfect. I saw some reviews complaining about the serving sizes, but they may have changed that as I was served a big portion as you can see in the photo. Our food took a bit long to arrive, but the staff was very attentive and nice. I wasn’t very impressed with the place itself, but that may have to do with the table we were seated at. Overall, the food was great, but I don’t think I’d come back given the limited vegan options and my overall experience.

Came with a group of friends, really enjoyed the ambiance, service and cast members. The current Fall 2021 menu was underwhelming, and much smaller than what I had found on Google. There is only 1 vegetarian item: an appetizer (3 artichoke fritters smaller than ping pong balls), which included parmesan cheese. Everything else found a way to include extra meat - the bread has a cheese topping, the salad had bacon, the squash soup included chicken and the pasta was turkey. Inquired about my options and the waitress explained how the chef would change 5 menu items to be vegetarian, but I don't recall specifically what they were now. I opted for the Tagiatelle, which included mushrooms, squash, kale and cranberries - a very Thanksgiving inspired dish. The food arrived with an allergy stick for the vegetarian plate (yay?). The portion was fancy restaurant small, very artistic presentation. The squash was almost raw, I couldn't stab it with a fork, and I'm still not convinced the sauce didn't include something non-vevetarian. DCA has a lot of places that include really enjoyable vegan/vegetarian options and creative ways of presenting Impossible products. However, the food in Carthay Circle has not received the same treatment. Also, the omnivores I dined with were less than impressed with their food as well. $42 for a small plate of pasta should result a slightly better product. If you do go, be prepared to ask a lot of questions, the staff is very friendly and able to help with your dietary requirements. The drinks are okay, but the cocktails are small compared to the available drinks in the rest of the park.

Just Okay. - Edit
Came here with a group of omnis and I was excited after reading reviews. Ordered the veggie tower and the first one came out with cheese on it. I sent it back for a replacement. The second one came out looking nothing like the first one - different veggies etc. It was overly vinegary but at least the veggies were quite fresh. A healthy dish compared to lots of other Disney options. Not the most filling though, especially since we were on our feet all day. The server was very kind and attentive and the ambience of the restaurant would be lovely for a date night.

They only know how to make 2 vegan entrees - Edit
We went to Carthay Circle when it first opened, maybe 2013 or so. We were pleasantly surprised with the vegan pasta and the vegan veggie tower. They were both done well, and the flavors were bright and tasty.
Read moreHowever, when we went back a couple years later (2016), we noticed that they offered the same two entrees, no more, no less. So we ordered the same old entrees. And from the looks of the online menu, they haven't changed things. Not going back until they get a little more creative.
Pros: Vegan options inside California Adventure - GREAT!
Cons: Pricey, Only worth eating there once

Romantic, old Hollywood feel and BEST food at Disney/California Adventures! - Edit
Thanks to the first reviewer, I knew what to ask for. The veggie tower is not on the menu (as is the pattern for most things vegan at Disney/CA Adventures) so you have to ask. So worth it. The vegetables were fresh, well prepared and beautifully presented.
Read moreThis is by far my favorite restaurant and I've tried many restaurants amongst Disneyland and California Adventures Parks (they're neighboring parks within walking distance of one another). You DO need admission or a park hopper pass to California Adventures, as Carthay is located there.
The ambience is a winner. See photos of Walt Disney in the corridors. Feel like you're a movie star when Hollywood was rising. Excellent service team delivering impeccable customer service. While waiting for your table, sit in the lounge area and have a drink (try the Old fashioned coffee if you drink alcohol and are vegetarian- it has dairy but oh so good).
Go to Carthay for the most romantic, quiet (not as many kids go here as the other park restaurants) dinner date inside the parks. At least go to take pictures of the beautiful decor!

Vegan Friendly Fine Dining - Edit
Don't worry if there's nothing Vegan on the menu, the Chef will take care of you. Loved that the servers treated vegan as an opportunity for the Chefs to impress rather than a burden. They make a fuss in a good way. Be sure to make a reservation and note "other" under allergy.

Thanks to your review and photo, my boyfriend and I made reservations for Carthay Circle on Christmas and so glad we did! It was our absolute favorite dining experience during our CA Adventures/Disneyland holiday weekend.
