The city of Glendale has very few pure veg restaurants, and this place, while serving predominately Middle Eastern meat dishes (Lebanese, Armenian, Greek), has a separate vegetarian menu. Nice atmosphere and the waiters understand what "vegan" means. Hosts nightly entertainment. Open Tue-Thu 11:00am-9:00pm, Fri-Sat 11:00am-10:00pm, Sun 11:00am-8:00pm.

Pretty good

We got the vegan hafleh (feast), which came with a wide assortment of plates. It was pretty good, but far from the best Lebanese food I've had (maybe because it's also Armenian cuisine, which I'm less fond of), and I only liked some of the dishes.

I'm eager to try some of the individual dishes, like the vegan mantee, though.

Incredible Mediterranean Food

I love this restaurant, have been coming for years. So many vegan items, and things you can’t get elsewhere. Very fun to go with a group or family as can eat family style.

Hummus and Pita sound good to you? Yes they have falafel though fried in the same place as the other food. Very few options in downtown Glendale.

food good but false menu— Vegans beware

Food well prepared Armenian specialties so popular in the Glendale part of LA County. Partly Vegan menu. Sadly, rice pilaf and yogurt-style items on vegan menu are clearly made with chicken broth and real yogurt. No warnings just false advertising. Vegans- There are genuine vegan items on the menu so if you go with a mixed crowd you will still be able to eat. Beware.

Delicious!

Great good and service. It should be known that the rice has chicken broth.

Pros: vegan options, Great food, Excellent service

Vegan feast

I ate last night at Carousel after being tipped off by a friend that they had a special vegan/vegetarian menu. The restaurant served a wide variety of middle eastern dishes, mostly meat but they have been thoughtful in creating a vegan menu that doesn't disappoint. My husband and I elected for the family style vegan fixed menu which was about $25 each and boy the plates kept coming. Delicious selection of side dishes, salads, pickles and small entree plates. We ended up taking tons of it home as there was truly an overwhelming amount of food for 2 people. If you don't mind being surrounded by meat eaters, and are wearing stretchy waistband pants, I'd totally recommend this place.

Pros: lots of choice, friendly staff, excellent food
