Three vegan burgers & caprese!

Offers three kinds of vegan burgers:
1. Beyond
2. Bean veggie patty
3. Portobello (ask for no cheese)

All are very yummy! Also offers a vegan (grilled tofu) caprese. We enjoy the Idaho nachos without cheese.

Staff is great!! Very friendly and efficient. Locally owned.

Outdoor patio available, juke box, pool table, live music some nights.

Pros: Three kinds of burgers, Great staff, Laid back atmosphere

Cons: Would be nice to have, vegan cheese for pizza

Best Beyond Burger!

Never in a million years did I think I’d find the best Beyond Burger in Borrego Springs, but Carlee’s nailed it. They actually know what it means to be a vegan, which I found interesting since the town itself isn’t exactly vegetarian/vegan friendly.
At least I know where I can eat when I come here to visit, which is several times a year. My hope is that other restaurants start to understand that limited veg menus eliminates a large segment of the population.

Pros: Beyond Burger , Vegan Caprese is actually vegan , Relaxed dog friendly atmosphere

Cons: the bartender was rude (or overworked)

Alright

Caprese salad was bland. My parents got the beyond burger though and they thought it was really good. It’s a very thick burger and pretty filling. Chips and fries are not vegan, so they gave them tomatoes on the side. The buns for the burgers are also not vegan so keep that in mind and swap them out if you can.

Pros: Friendly staff that knows what “vegan” means, Big portions

Cons: Pricey, Takes a while to get your food

After a sweaty desert day, it’ll do!

It’s a cool old fashioned dive bar sort of place. Often has live music. Place is clean and everyone is super friendly and understanding of what vegan means. Thin crust pizza, beyond burger on rye (not on ciabatta, you have to ask for rye) and a caprese appetizer are vegan. Chips and fries are not so ask for a side of pickles and they’ll bring you like 10

Pros: Labeled vegan options, The only place with vegan options for miles , Staff understands what vegan is

Cons: Kinda pricy, Fries/ Chips look amazing but are not vegan

Vegan Caprese

The omni hubby and I started with the vegan caprese. Super yummy. Followed it up with a vegan Greek pizza. Excellent pre-holiday festivities dinner that felt good.

Excellent drinks as well!
