Typical ice cream joint with some fast food options, but there is vegan sorbet and Tofutti almond bark available. The fries are cooked in vegetable oil and are vegan suitable. See website for other locations. Open Mon-Thu 1:00pm-9:00pm, Fri-Sat 1:00pm-9:30pm, Sun 1:00pm-9:00pm.

A few nondairy ice cream varieties

I get a nondairy chocolate ice cream with sprinkles. Could be creamier but love having an option since my family goes often.

Soy Based Ice Cream

They offer chocolate soy based hard serve ice cream. It is pretty good, tastes better with a vegan topping though.

Satisfied My Craving

While on vacation in Holland I had a craving for non-dairy ice cream. Looked on Happy Cow and found Captain Sundae's. Ordered their soy based chocolate and was sooo good!
Could have gone to grocery store but felt like sitting outside and this cute little ice cream stand filled the bill!

Pros: vegan ice cream

Cons: needs more flavors

Vegan Friendly?

I've had their ice cream here but I'm not sure it really should qualify as a vegan friendly spot.

For vegetarians who eat dairy, the ice cream is good and there are a wide variety of selections. It's a nice place to relax with friends or family and is good for kids as well. Still, don't think it really belongs on Happy Cow.

Pros: Good daily-based choices

Cons: Not very vegan friendly
