Gymnastics

Possibly the strangest location HC has taken me. After a show at Excel I looked for somewhere off-site and found this place.
Got the tube to back to and walked 5 minutes, and was sort of looking at where it could be. An Asda car park and bus station and a local gymnastics training centre, which is where it was hidden on a second floor.
It the gym cafe and lots of parents and kids were hanging. They had 3 vegan pizza options and three burgers so a decent menu. We both had a chorizo pizza which was decent. A nice base with plenty of toppings.
Not sure if I can recommend as the location and setting is out there, but the good was decent.

Pros: Plenty vegan, Staff

Cons: Location, Setting

Proper Pizza!!

Just finished a seriously good pizza. I ordered a vegan Margarita pizza with double mushrooms and extra vegan cheese, and had it delivered to the hotel that I am staying in prior to visiting the Natural Products Show at Excel, London. All serious pizza lovers know that it is in the base that greatness lies. If I had had any idea of how good this base was going to be then I definitely would not have ordered any extra toppings. I strongly suspect that it is sourdough however this is not mentioned on the menu. I enjoyed it along with a sumptuous vegan organic Amarone from M&S. Turned an evening in a soulless hotel room into something joyous. I'm now going to call them to thank them and compliment them. Very happy. (Tried to give 5 stars, however 4 is the max allowed for non vegan establishments, which is fair enough)

Pros: Authentic pizza that deserves to be matched with , a top quality Italian red wine

Cons: They are not in Glasgow

Not really a restaurant

Full disclosure: we visited but did not stop here nor had any food so this isn't a review specifically about that.

It's location is not at all obvious - it's in a cafe room upstairs in a gymnastics establishment.

When we visited we thought we were going to find a nice little Italian restaurant but instead it was more like a waiting room for parents whose kids were doing their sports activities. Of the six tables in there no one was eating they were all just drinking coffees and obviously waiting for their kids to finish what they were doing so they could go home. It's a shame as it looked like a lot of effort had gone into getting the place into a nice shape to act as a restaurant but my guess would be that the only time this would be a possibility would when most kids are at school.

If you live locally and can get there during school hours then this place might be worth trying but if you want to go at any other time then I'd say give it a pass - it's likely to have no room for seating and be filled with screaming overly excited children waiting for siblings to finish their classes.

Cons: Not at all relaxed, Full of screaming children, Mostly a waiting room
