Nice atmosphere, limited options - Edit
The cafe had vegan cheese and marg which was fortunate as it meant they could make several vegan sandwich and toastie combos. Hot chocolate was also vegan and they had oat, almond and soy milk for teas / coffees - no vegan cake unfortunately. Staff didn’t seem too aware of what might contain dairy (my salad initially came with dressing) but were happy to oblige.

Surprising vegan options! - Edit
I wasn’t expecting to get anything vegan as it’s not advertised on the menu — but they have vegan cheese for toasties and oat milk. The toastie was perfectly decent for £5.50!

No breakfast vegan options - Edit
No vegan options for breakfast - bread isn't even vegan. Has oat milk so all I could have was an oat milk latte.

Lovely warming soups and soya lattes - Edit
Try and get a window seat, the views are lovely. I just love the soups, especially the lentil. Great soya lattes and nice pots of herbal teas. One of the few places vegans can eat outside of Stornoway. They have dairy free spread and sometimes a main course option in the evenings which they were happy to do for us at lunchtime (ask) though for £11 a curry in a baked potato doesn't seem like great value compared to the soups. We just missed out on the last of some vegan chocolate cake.

Cons: sometimes a bit of a queue, windows get a bit steamy at times
