Not all-vegan, but what was there was okay - Edit
Their prices have gone up from when they opened so now the buffet is $10/person, which is fine, but the ice cream they serve is NOT vegan: it's traditional bovine breastmilk "ice cream." This was not clearly marked and I had to read the ingredients on the big barrel in the freezer of the buffet in order to find out--and had it not been coincidentally turned that way, I wouldn't have been able to read it. I figured it was too good to be true. But there are many Asian dishes there that are good, just very heavy on the stomach. The carrot potato tofu curry was really tasty, though too oily. Really liked the spring rolls and the crispy rolls. Many dishes were questionable as to whether they were truly vegan, but I suppose this skepticism comes with the 5 year-vegan territory. Staff were mild-mannered, mostly inattentive and distant, but it's a clean-it-yourself restaurant so I wasn't expecting much. The women's and the men's bathroom were both kind of gross. The stall I used in the women's room was filthy and didn't have toilet paper. But there was a stall that was large enough for a wheelchair. Not sure if I'll go back.

Vegan buffet, all you can eat!!!! - Edit
Finally, there is a vegan buffet near me. This place is crowded because of the price, all you can eat for $9 lunch or dinner. It is also delicious. They don't serve a lot of mock meat in the selection. Mostly tofu and vegetables. The way they cook the vegetables are excellent. They are not too cooked or mushy and the taste is yummy.
Read moreThere are a few deep fried stuff in the appetizer section but if you want to avoid it you can since it is a buffet.
There is also a dessert bar, Vietnamese style. The items are agar-agar type of sweets, mung beans or red beans, coconut milk, coco jelly, etc. The sweets that Asian eats (which is not too sweet). After I mix them all together, it becomes sort of halo-halo. I love it.
The drawback is that it is crowded. But knowing that a lot of Vietnamese Buddhists now eat more vegan, it is a plus. They love coming here, including the Buddhist monks. It is really awesome.
Their serving method is no waitress or waiters, no bus people, and no host or hostess. To keep the cost down, they ask you to bus your own table and clean the debris. There is no host/hostess to seat you either so after paying and going through the buffet line, find your own table. I am ok with it and understand that is why the cost is low.
Pros: Taste, Fresh vegetables, Reasonable price
Cons: crowded

Options! - Edit
I’ve never been to a place where I could literally eat anything on the menu. The major kicker here, they make things in small batches so that it’s fresh. Vegetables are cooked perfectly. And the mushrooms... oh my gosh, those alone are worth a trip! I loved the creative combinations of vegetables- like things I would never think of combining totally worked. I’m not a dessert person, but I did try a few bits and they were amazing! Jasmine hot tea or water is included with every meal - just go all the way past the food line and the drinks are there.
Read moreThe downside was how loud it was in there. My mom and I couldn’t hear each other and we were sitting close to each other. Another bummer was how closely the tables are butted up to the buffet line, good luck getting through there without getting shoved/almost losing your plate.
Pros: Vegan everything, Protein filled options, Great price
Cons: Loud, echoing space, Not a great use of space with the buffet line

Lots of variety - good value - Edit
Interesting new veg buffet that popped up. They have a very wide variety of dishes to try. As one might expect from a buffet, some of the dishes can be mediocre; but there were some that were very tasty too. I always try to finish my plate, so I did gobble down plenty of the mediocre stuff haha - but if I were to go a second time I'd focus on my favs and make a good meal out of them.😄I'd suggest try a very small portion of everything, then go big on your favorites for seconds. $9 ain't bad, I was totally stuffed.
