Im in LOVE with this place. The costumer service was great and the food was just perfect. There was so much variety and everything was 100% vegan. I would literally take a flight one weekend just to come eat here again. I’m definitely coming back!

One of our new favorite vegan places! The food was amazing, we had cevich, Molcajete, lentil salad, hot chocolate and desserts…Only regret was that we couldn’t eat more! Highly recommended, great service, great food, relaxed atmosphere.

La mayoría del menú es o vegano o veganizable. Hay opciones para nuestros acompañantes no vegan. Me enamoré de su hamburguesa "la favorita" es a base de lentejas, tiene queso de papa y pan vegano, lo puedes pedir con ensalada o papitas. También sus bebidas son muy buenas.

Would love to give this restaurant 5 stars. A little bit outside central Guadalajara but so worth it. Attentive, knowledgeable and very friendly staff with a creative and extensive vegan menu all within a lovely atmosphere. All of our food was delicious. Recommended.

Great concept overall - Edit
The concept and menu is genuinely great, but the quality is not always consistent. What is consistent is the saltiness or lack thereof in some dishes. As Mexicans we enjoy salty foods, but in actual food seasoning terms, you will be sipping on water quite a lot because of how salty many things are. I’ve tried the barbacoa tacos, lasagna, hot dog, Shepard’s pie, all the pizzas, hamburger, curry, and pastas. It’s either over or under seasoning on the salt or other spices or the consistent cooking is off (soggy tacos, pizza not crispy on bread that should be crispy). I’ve had the perfect tacos from them before so I know they can do it but honestly, it’s a gamble. Tip: bring a bottle of water, ignore the soggy food if that’s how you get it, and enjoy, because the overall flavor profile and concept is good.

Best restaurant in town for veg/non-veg groups - Edit
This is by far the restaurant my husband and I most visited in Guadalajara. I’m vegan and he is “fishterian”, and because most restaurants have only salad for me if they have seafood, it became a challenge for us to go out. In Calabacitas Tiernas menu is extremely vegan-friendly (almost the whole menu can be ordered as vegan), it also offers fish and seafood for mixed groups or couples. After all, I expect to continue hanging out with friends who have different diet options and want everyone to enjoy it. Food is amazing, price is fair, service is great
