I went here on my last night in Hanoi. It was a buffet style dinner. The food was great. I went back for seconds. I especially liked the sizzling roll and the baked cake.

Vegan and vegetarian fine dining. Don't be confused by the word "bistro". I wouldnt describe it as bistro but as very chic restaurant. Food had brilliant quality and taste and the service was perfect as well.

If you're going here - definitely just opt for the buffet option so you can try everything. The staff couldn't be more pleasant and the atmosphere is really relaxing. Food is beautifully presented but the flavours are lacking in a lot of dishes. After trying less expensive, other vegan restaurants in Hanoi, the food at Cai Mam isn't worth its bigger price tag. I would recommend going here more for the experience, and for a quiet, relaxing meal.

We really appreciated the presentation and effort to create a special menu. However the food lacks protein and variety of vegetables. We both ate the buffet and found that all of the tofu dishes had literally a traspoons worth of tofu inside. The dishes were heavy on potatoes and sweet potatoes, rice noodles and deep fried dough, which - with the serious lack of protein - creates a very carb/starch heavy and unbalanced meal for vegans and vegetarians. The salad was miniscule and very very basic. Overall not very impressive for us, sorry.

This bistro has a beautiful array of vegan and vegetarian delicacies! The best part is that they have a “buffet” style menu where you can order endless items off the a la carte menu. The plates are small but with the fixed buffet price and the fact that you can order endless items it is quite a lovely experience. Our server, Bamboo, was incredibly sweet and very knowledgeable about the menu. Our favorite dish was the black pepper dough balls. The dining area is very relaxing with mood lighting and ambient music. Excited to return back again!

Excellent restaurant Cai Mam bistro - Edit
I have a dinner here and it was wonderful, they have a new menu which have a lot of delicious dish make with the Vietnamese style like spring rolls, sizzling crepe, rice cracker with impossible meat,... all of these was amazing. I surprise that they can make all these dish become vegan. I will come back with my friends to try some more new dish here.
