A vegan cafe serving light meals such as brown rice pasta with rich soy milk cream sauce, Japanese and/or Chinese rice bowls, hot sandwiches and even junk lunch plates. Brown rice noodles with mushrooms and soy milk cream pasta, soy meat sukiyaki rice bowl, soy meat kalbi rice bowl, fried soy meat (ka-ra-a-ge), sweet sake soy milk soft serve ice cream, etc. A colorful 7-item lunch plate is available by reservation by the day before. Open Tue-Sat 10:00am-4:00pm. Closed Sun-Mon. Irregular hours on holidays.

One of the best vegan meals I’ve had!

Cafe Well-be was incredible! The meal I had here was beyond amazing. I’ve been vegan for two years and the meal I had truly showed the best of what plant-based cooking has to offer. I had the vegan soy-meat Kalbi rice bowl and vegan soy-based gelato that were both amazing! The Kalbi bowl was so perfectly flavorful and tender, and the gelato had a perfect texture was lightly sweetened. Items are clearly marked on the menu(both English and Japanese) for both vegetarians and vegans. Some options can be made vegan by calling in advance(the hot egg sandwich is an example of this. Made normally with milk-containing bread but can be swapped for “dairy free” bread”). But this cafe is truly an amazing option, especially if you’re struggling to find plant-based restaurants in Japan. The only thing better than the food was the service! I don’t speak Japanese but the owners were friendly and helpful from start to finish. And so kind! I’m grateful that I live close enough to their cafe that I can go there again soon. If you find yourself even remotely close to Tottori prefecture, please make your way here!

Highly recommend!

The chef is a former Japanese cuisine chef who became vegetarian to find a cure for his wife who was ill.
They find the way and they both look so healthy and happy!
The food, presentation, atmosphere and the service all are in harmony and I highly recommend this place😄

Pros: Clean, Welcoming , Delicious food

Cons: Far from where I live :(
