Cosy & comforting - Edit
Cosy café with kind staff. The vegan menu is extensive and varied with all kinds of comfort food and asian dishes. The Dahl was very flavorful, though not traditional in any sense. Generous portion.

was there on 11.8.2024. friendly young guy behind the counter, helped with menu selection. some music playing as well. i got the vegan burger with vegan cheese tomatoe and salat with fries on the side. it was good and i 'll return. cozy place and affordable. beuatiful area of south bonn. convenient to walk. if the fries had been better i'd given 5 stars.

Viel vegane Auswahl - Edit
Es gab vegane Gerichte, die man sonst nicht so findet, z.B. persische oder afghanische. Es war lecker, aber nicht außergewöhnlich. Ein bisschen mehr Grünzeug hätte gutgetan. Auf der Karte klangen unsere Gerichte irgendwie besser als sie dann wirklich waren.

We had two pizzas: rucola & avocado and mushrooms. Both pizzas had vegan cheese as well. The food was good, nothing exeptional but good anyway!

Lots of vegan options but not amazing - Edit
I have tried a few of their vegan dishes, they have both Persian dishes and things like burgers and pizza. All were ok but not super flavorful. The fries I got with a burger tasted a bit old. I would not go again for the food. Otherwise, the place is nice and cozy, for a drink for example. The staff is nice enough and the location is convenient.

Read moreThe menu is huge and you can find two green pages right in the middle that contain all vegan options. Right before that, you can find the vegetarian dishes. Quite a difficult choice, as I thought.
I know some people who work there that I think are very good, others are a lot weaker. The place was packed when I was there so I can understand the short delays, you should be aware of the fact that it can be very full inside and that you’ll have to wait a fair amount of time.
The dishes themselves (vegan starter plate, Dal Turka) were good but nothing special. I would go there again though and try the after 21 pm offers and hope for a vegan pizza.

Great choice for vegans - Edit
I went there in the middle of a Saturday afternoon for a hot meal, which wasn't a problem. The choice in the menu is pretty good, they have some dishes inspired by Middle East, Indian and African kitchen, but also pizza with vegan cheese and on that day a vegan burger. The service was a bit slow in the beginning, but very friendly. I had the African penne with aubergines, chickpeas and some other fresh and crunchy vegetables with a spicy and slightly hot sauce. I would definitely go there again to try the other dishes.

I can only review the sunday brunch. Vegan options are fruit, vegetables (also grilled), bread, cereals with plant-based milk, hummus, sweat spreads, salads. Vegan options were marked. Was okay, but not something super special. Solid vegan options if you are together with other non-vegans. Nice interior and friendly stuff.

Wir haben eine Art Curry und eine Pizza bestellt. Hat leider fast 1,5 Stunden gedauert bis wir das Essen auf dem Tisch hatten. Für jedes Getränk musste man das Personal abfangen. Personal machte einen chaotischen Eindruck. Manche Tische wurden 3x gefragt ob sie bereits bestellt haben, andere warteten ewig. Bei jedem Gericht/Getränk das eine der zahlreichen Aushilfskräfte raus brauchte mussten sie sich erstmal vor den Gästen abstimmen wo es denn nun hin soll. Professionell geht anders.

Great selection of dishes and vegan pizzas. The kitchen personnel is made up of people from various regions of the world and that's what the menu looks like. Persian, Indian, Italian etc.
Read moreStudent offer after 9pm, "even for those not enrolled". So basically there is a dish chosen by the house for €4.50 every day. The place is a little peace of art itself, very charming alternative venue. Sometimes it makes sense to reserve a table in the evening as the place is highly frequented by the locals.

Awesome Vegan Pizza - Edit
It's my favorite place for vegan pizza in Bonn/Cologne. Although they offer meat and dairy food, they also have a separate vegan menu. The pizza is huge and delicious with fresh vegetables and vegan cheese. Also they have many other vegan dishes - even a vegan breakfast option and a selection of different vegan starters. I really like to go there with my vegan and non-vegan friends. The staff is awesome, too. It has a very welcoming and easy-going ambience.

The vegan pizza was really huge, with good toppings and vegan cheese (which was unnecessary). Friendly staff. We also had a Mediterranean rice dish, which was fine, but nothing more.

even though there are not vegan things in the menu too and the restaurant is quite pricy (for students for example) they have a good solution: after 9pm students can have some options for just 4,90€. you can take it home or eat at the nice atmosphere. the stuff is so nice and funny so you'll defintely feel good.

One of the best pizza I've ever eaten! Try: aubergine, spinach, garlic, vegan cheese. Tastes so good! The curry was not that good :/ Food is very pricy, service always friendly. They have a separated vegan menu :)

We went here on a Saturday afternoon and really enjoyed it. There's quite a few vegan options to choose from. We both had a big salad and shared a delicious plate with different vegetables as a starter. We'd definitely recommend the Café Von und Zu.

Vegan Pizza in Bonn - Edit
This is one of the few places in Bonn that offers vegan pizza, so I tend to visit this place fairly often. For anyone on a budget, I can recommend coming here after 9pm when they offer 6 dishes for €4.80 each. They usually include at least one vegan pizza, so it's extremely good value. The pizzas here are huge and I really like the vegan cheese they're using (Wilmersburger). Von&Zu also offers other vegan dishes on their menu (curries, pasta dishes, salads, some desserts) but I tend to stick with the pizzas. Staff is super nice and helpful.
