Have a coffee and a snæk

Came here for the vibe, stayed for the snæks. About half of the menu is plant-based and not just depressing salad, hallelujah

Pros: Quite a few vegan snæks, dishes & desserts, Tastes good which is the bare minimum but still , Great vibe

Cons: Chicken on the menu, A bit pricey but this is Denmark

OG café of Aalborg

Ulla is the absolute go to in Aalborg. An atmosphere like nowhere else, whether you’re inside or outside! Staff is always immaculate! Vegan & vegetarian options are tasty!

Pros: Awesome staff & place in general , Nice menu , Tasty food & drinks 🍹

Cons: Need to order by the bar (no table service)

The other home

It feels a lot like home to be here - except for my home isn’t quite as colorful…
The food has always been excellent, and good value for money!
A great place to hang and look at people.

Expensive disappointing vegan "burger" + rude staff

Me and a friend both ordered their vegan burgers. It was very much like a sandwich and not at all like a burger. Instead of burger buns you get two pieces of regular bread with humus and salad, a very soft patty (the vegan patty from Daloon as far as I could taste). For 130 DKK per burger we expected to be wooed!

The staff was not very informative or very attentive during the whole evening. It would have been different if we were informed that it was more like a sandwich than a burger - even though they call it BURGER on the menu, so we could have bailed and ordered something else. The same goes when asking about their wine. The response was something like "it's just regular wine" to our question "is it dry or fruity?" - not helpful at all.

A side thing: They walked by many many times without taking our order, nor did the staff ask if we wanted refills, dessert etc. when our drinks and plates emptied - even though walking by many times.

When the bill didn't add up in our heads because of some extra salsa we had bought that we forgot - instead of explaining the extra cost nicely, they arrogantly and rudely responded back with a snappy comment.

I will not be coming back here for food even though I actually really love the colourful decorative style they have going on. Simply because if the staff is not friendly and the food is not good... that's a deal-breaker.

But I will try their Ice-Cream when summer returns :-)

Hope others will have a much more positive experience than ours. Just wanted to be honest regarding ours.

Pros: cozy fun colorful decorative style, live music from time to time, plenty of board games in the café

Cons: boring overpriced vegan burger served as sandwich, unfriendly and rude staff members

Best vegan ice cream!

Let's start with the good first. The house-made vegan ice cream! They have a variety of things like banana chocolate, liquorice and mint chocolate. It's delicious and cheap (I think I paid less than 40) and you can take it for take away, since you get it it a Ben & Jerry-sized container. Did I mention it's delicious?

I went here for the food, and the waitress was rude and unwilling to help when I asked what could be made vegan. The menu isn't marked. I ended up getting a falafel burger, but pretty sure the dip served with my fries wasn't vegan, even though I was very specific about it. The burger wasn't rememberable, but I will be back for ice cream!

Pros: DELICIOUS VEGAN ICE CREAM

Cons: Rude staff
