Had my eyes on this place for a while and an opportunity for a take-away presented itself tonight. My vegetable Jhal Jhul was tasty but no where near the “very hot dish” triple chilli description I was expecting and desiring. The mushroom dansak and tarka dal were both ok but the Bombay aloo was just boiled potatoes dropped into a sauce. All dishes were also quite oily after being in the boot of the car for a few hours before eating. I was hungry so will turn a blind eye on this occasion but I won’t be going back.

Visited recently with my young son where we shared a vegetable danzak, vegetable rogan josh and a vegetable curry side dish, with boiled rice and chapatis. I asked for the whole order to be made mild and vegan.
Read moreEach dish was flavourful and spiced really well, but a bit too well spiced for my son 😥 despite a jug of water, which was a shame and put a bit of a dampener on the evening.
Needless to say I ended up with lots of leftovers for the next day. Staff were friendly and in total the bill was just short of £40.

Tasty indian takeaway - Edit
We have ordered from here a few times, Im quite fussy so usually only get a curry sauce, chips and some samosas. Few times the chips haven’t been very fresh and the popadoms have been soggy but other than that it’s a nice takeaway and great to see vegan options!

The staff helped us pick off the menu. We were a group of 5 vegans and everything came as ordered. Tarka Dahl included some garlic pieces which were sweet and well flavoured. Dhansak was sweet and tomatoey and quite spicy. Nice fresh veggies used. The Wednesday night Thali event with separate vegan menu has a good reputation among local vegans but I haven’t tried it myself. Meal deal (happy hour) before 7pm (see Facebook). Closed Mondays apart from bank hols.
