War ein paar Mal da und jedes Mal gab es etwas anderes, was nicht gut war. Mal ging das Kartengerät nicht, mehrfach wurde die Essensbestellung vergessen oder das Essen war komplett kalt. An sich schmeckt es da gut, aber es überzeugt einfach nicht.

Friendly staff, but long waiting time and mediocre food - Edit
I was there for brunch with two friends as I had only heard positive things about Café Susann. Unfortunately, there was very little choice on site. Out of a total of 4 brunch dishes (2x sweet, 2x savoury), only 2 were available as vegan options, i.e. either the Ayurvedic porridge or the Classico. As we regularly eat porridge at home, we ordered the Classico. This consisted of 3 small slices of bread, a large dollop of hummus, some beetroot, a few pickled baby carrots and a small bowl of baked beans. Unfortunately rather disappointing for the hefty price of €12.
Read moreThe staff were very friendly. Unfortunately, we had to wait a whole 40 minutes for our food to finally arrive. The food itself was delicious, but we went somewhere else afterwards because there simply wasn't enough and, as we had to leave after 2 hours because the next guests were waiting, we couldn't have waited another 40 minutes.
It was also extremely loud as it was very crowded. As far as I could tell, no measures were taken to absorb some of the noise (e.g. laying out carpets, hanging cloths or similar on the ceiling, ...). Overall a rather unpleasant experience. I won't be going there again.

Ich war mit zwei Freund*innen zum Brunch da, da ich nur Positives vom Café Susann gehört habe. Leider gab es vor Ort nur sehr wenig Auswahl. Von insgesamt 4 Brunch-Gerichten (2x süß, 2x herzhaft) waren nur 2 als vegane Option verfügbar, also entweder der ayurvedische Haferbrei oder das Classico. Da wir regelmäßig zu Hause Haferbrei essen, haben wir das Classico bestellt. Das bestand dann aus 3 kleinen Scheiben Brot, einem großem Klecks Hummus, etwas Rote Bete, ein paar eingelegten Babykarotten und einem kleinen Schälchen Baked Beans. Leider eher enttäuschend für den stolzen Preis von 12€.
Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Leider mussten wir aber ganze 40 Minuten warten, bis endlich das Essen kam. Das Essen an sich war lecker, aber wir sind anschließend noch woanders hingegangen, da es einfach zu wenig war und wir, da wir nach 2h schon raus mussten, da die nächsten Gäste warteten, nicht nochmal 40 Minuten hätten warten können.
Außerdem war es extrem laut, da es sehr voll war. Soweit ich das beurteilen konnte, wurden keine Maßnahmen ergriffen, um einen Teil des Lärms zu dämpfen (z.B. Auslegen von Teppichen, Aufhängen von Tüchern oder Ähnlichem an der Decke, ...). Insgesamt eine eher unangenehme Erfahrung. Ich werde dort nicht wieder hingehen.

Amazing vegan food - Edit
The vegan main meals and baked goods are absolutely amazing! The coffee was also extremely good. Make sure you make a reservation as they will turn you away if they don’t have space.

Absolut leckeres Kaffee bei dem man immer das zusätzliche Gefühl hat etwas Gutes zu tun. Viele Produkte werden regional und saisonal bezogen. Das Mittagessen ist abwechslungsreich und es gibt fast immer eine vegane Alternative. Die Kuchenauswahl ist in vegan sehr groß und es sogar vegan und glutenfreie Kuchen. Außerdem gibt es immer wieder besondere Backwaren, wie Muffins und Kekse. Das Personal ist immer sehr freundlich und die gesamte Atmosphäre ist einfach sehr schön. Ich gehe hier sehr gerne und regelmäßig hin und freue mich jedes Mal aufs Neue.

I can't brag more about this place it is a true gem in Kaiserslautern, they have wonderful vegan cakes, most of the lunch special are vegan or vegetarian and so delicious and always fresh, for lunch i would recommend to make reservations as its always packed.

Coziest café in Kaiserslautern. The atmosphere is welcoming and charming, the decor is gorgeous and the music is fits this place perfectly. It is quite busy though, so it could happen you won't get a table from time to time. You can make reservations though!

I can't decide between the Belgian waffles with apple sauce, the French Toast or the warm Ayurvedic porridge, they are all soo good!

Charming place with vegan cakes (in the plural) - Edit
I went to Café Susann with a friend and we had a great time there. The café has been decorated with a love of detail. There were several clearly labelled vegan cakes to choose from so I had two, the baked apple tarte and the super chocolate tarte, both of which were very tasty. For a drink I had the golden milk with soya milk, which was served with an almond instead of sugary, packaged chocolate. What a lovely idea! The staff were friendly and there was an overall good feel about the place. On my next visit to Kaiserslautern I´ll sure come back and can hopefully try a savoury dish there too!

Lovely place, amazing vegan food - Edit
My husband and I, both vegan, ordered two vegan Belgium waffles and coffees with soy milk. There are also options for almond and wheat milk. Everything was delicious, home-made with love. Also there is a kids play corner. The owner Susann, was also there, working with a great passion. The atmosphere she creates is heart-warming. You’ll feel at home AND will have great vegan food options. (Breakfast e.g. Ayurvedic porridge, self made bread etc. )
