A must visit - Edit
Staying in Nottingham and only visited here as it was on the route back of a day trip. So glad we did.
Read more3 courses were all well thought out, full of flavour and a good size.
Not the cheapest on paper, but this is fine dining quality food and a bargain for what you get.

Great food, just wish that they were fully vegan! - Edit
I've been to Cafe Roya a few times and they never disappoint in terms of the taste of the food, I just wish that they were fully vegan already! I had Stroganoff and Pumpkin Cheesecake. Prices are high but you're paying for really good food.

Best food in Beeston - Edit
This place is always booked up and busy which really shows how great the food is. The lunch menu is lovely and changes daily but always has a choice of hot foods served with 5 different salads. The dinner menu here is genuinely amazing. It changes monthly to use seasonal ingredients and the choices are always really creative and such high quality. Would really recommend Café Roya to anyone even if they're not vegan/vegetarian.

Fantastic - Edit
The food was brilliant - visited on a Friday evening for dinner. We shared a nibble (focaccia with oil etc) and then entrees - a special off the board (not an exaggeration to say it was the best battered cauliflower I've had) and one a la carte (spanakopita), both really great. Then a dessert to share, which was delicious. Everything was vegetable-focused and wholesome but without feeling "health food"-y. It was just genuine, tasty, classy veggie food.
Read moreIt looked like everything on the menu had a vegan option and there were lots of gluten free options too. Service was very good, the ambience was warm - you could come for a romantic evening or as a family. I would recommend Cafe Roya to anyone - especially as so many vegan and vegetarian restaurants are struggling to stay open now.
Pros: Delicious food, Vegan wine list, Classy + warm ambience

I regret not eating here sooner - Edit
I dont know what took us so long to try this local restaurant. The food was gorgeous, in both flavours and presentation. The drinks list had some really nice options, especially in the alcohol free sections. The staff were lovely and accommodating and it's wheelchair accessible by a ramp.

Delicious meal - Edit
Maybe the first ever three course meal I've ever had as I'm not usually one for classier establishments with thoughtful presentation and a small menu. Each course was delicious and perfectly proportioned. The staff were so lovely and the whole experience was fantastic. Will definitely be going again next time we have a date night or a special occasion.

Have been here a couple of times and have never been disappointed! They change their menu every month and offer cuisines from all over the world. Great friendly staff as well and reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. Definitely try it if you’re in the area!

Exquisite food - Edit
I've been here twice for dinner and once for lunch. Every time, the staff have been lovely and made sure to check for dietary requirements. Food has been amazing every time. They change their lunch menu daily and evening menu monthly so there's always something different to try. I also love that they try to source a lot of their food locally.

Wonderful! - Edit
We are blessed to have this cafe in Beeston, interesting vegan food that does not try to be a meat replacement, I recommend the lunch menu, good value and a beautiful plate of food to help you through the day, worth booking for the evening though as it fills quickly. Enjoy x

Delicious but menu a bit random - Edit
Absolutely delicious food and drinks, even my onmi friends asked for the vegan options and loved it! So great for anyone who has any kind of dietary requirements, vegan, gf, dairy free, etc. Only thing I wasn’t sure about was that it wasn’t really possible to choose three courses that all complimented each other flavour-wise and cuisine-wise, so i felt a bit sick afterwards! Should’ve maybe just had one course instead but we were treating ourselves!

Lovely place. Love the simplicity of the lunch menu. The salad accompaniment was amazing, so many different flavours. Plants are the best. Staff were really sweet and attentative. Just a great place to be. Will definitely come to the area to eat there again. My non vegan boyfriend loved it there too so a winner all round.

Lovely dinner (lunch) - Edit
Had a lovely dinner here, a mushroom bourgignon and garlic bread which was served with 5 salads. I also tried the ‘crab’ cakes which were super tasty. For dessert I had the chocolate brownie and ice cream, it was so good! To drink I had the golden milk and got chocolate. I enjoyed both. Would definitely come back here again and recommend it!

Outstanding food after a Corbyn rally and we only had a take away! - Edit
Unfortunately fully booked at lunch time. What could that mean?! From walking in and being served by two ladies who served and who both displayed exemplary customer service skills. Although it was fully booked we were taken care of while we were waiting offered us a spare seat and offered us free water. Outstanding!
Read moreWe had different lunchtime meals I went for tofu rancheo whilst my partner went with mushroom bourgignon BOTH with their legendary 5, yeah 5!! salads. Why would you try to pick one when they already come with 5! My partner chose chocolate hazelnut brownie whilst I had Auntie Sandra, just like your mams, apple pie.
We went back to Leicester's free roaming deer to enjoy them! ALL of it was LUSH and outstandingly tasty the afters even coming with strawberries and raspberries.
The packaging and cutlery were even all recyclable.
Just go! Come to Leicester folks for your justified expansion.
Pros: Outstanding customer service, Delicious food , 5 fresh salads and your mam's apple pie!
Cons: None, Fully booked, None in Leicester

Beautiful. - Edit
Visiting Nottingham for the afternoon with my Mum who is 83. We had lunch at Crocus Cafe (lovely too, although completely different to Cafe Roya), then met some friends at Lakeside Arts looking at colourful sculpture by Rana Begum.

This was a lovely day.
Cafe Roya is beautiful both the food and service. They have a few Persian options, however I went for (vegan option) of the Filo feta parcel which had lots of subtle flavours.
Wine and dessert was lovely too.
The perfect place for a family meal.
Pros: vegan options, Can park outside for one hour or after 6pm, lovely staff
