Cozy and Tasty - Edit
This no frills diner style place is light and friendly. There were a few vegan options, and my favorite was the hippie wrap, filled with tons of veggies, beans, potatoes and a really yummy green sauce.

Wonderful Spot - Edit
It's a diner. And that's a good thing. My wife and I had lunch after riding the Skunk Train. There was an air of genuine comfort upon entry, and the warm smiles from our server set things off right. While the menu could do with more vegan options, especially for breakfast, the quality of the sandwiches could not be denied. We ordered the tempeh reuben and veggie club (made vegan). We also had the soup of the day (two choices, one was vegan), a red pepper soup of some sort. It was also warm and filling. Definitely a good place to stop for breakfast or lunch if you want high quality, simple food.

We were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was here! Stopped by after going on the Skunk Train. We had sandwiches and split the pie of the day (strawberry rhubarb) - so yummy!!

Hippie Scramble FTW - Edit
Stopped by for breakfast after exploring Glass Beach. Nice laid back diner vibes. Very friendly staff. They claim to use organic and non-gmo ingredients. I had the hippie scramble with tofu, and it was loaded with perfectly cooked veggies. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

Satisfying breakfast, yay! - Edit
We had been driving for hours up the coast to finally end up staying the night at the travel lodge in fort brag. We felt so lucky to have ended up at the one place where we could get a warm, organic vegan breakfast just a few feet from our room. I got the shiitake mushroom sweet potato hash with avocado and toast. it reminded me of something we would make for breakfast at home. The only think I didn’t love was that you had to order before you sat down at a desk by the door. I wish we could’ve been waited on instead but it was ok. The service was friendly, it seemed to be just a husband wife and son working there.

Unique Diner with lots of veg options - Edit
Very impressed with this restaurant. They had a large variety on their menu, dishes you wouldn't find at other diners. I really loved that they had many vegan options and prioritized organic ingredients.

Good vegan breakfast - Edit
The Hippie Scramble with tofu and potatoes, vegan (so no butter on the toast, came with jam) was surprisingly really good! Great mix of veggies (bell pepper, mushroom, kale, spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, probably more) and tofu, with great flavor (tasted like a teriyaki/soy flavor). Very solid vegan option in a town where there's a lot of breakfast cafes but its hard to tell which will have the best vegan option. Pick up during covid times was easy, but they only take cash and debit cards.

Surprise find - Edit
Wow, what a lovely place. The people were very friendly and attentive and the menu had so many options that everyone would find several things that would make it hard to choose from. We were a mixed group of vegans and normal eaters. The food was delicious, every ingredient matched and flavourful. The sandwich was on point. Not dry not soggy. The size of the dishes were good too. So food and service was a very positive experience

Pretty Good - Edit
For having vegan options at all, I’m thrilled. But there is definitely room for improvement. I ordered “scrambled tofu”, grilled potatoes, and tempeh bacon. And while filling and packed with protein and carbs to jumpstart my day, the flavors and the way the food was prepared left something to be desired. The scrambled tofu was cubed, breaded tofu, with little to no flavor, and not quite hot. The potato’s, while delicious, were just a little undercooked (some were kind of hard), and the tempeh bacon was tasty! Tasted like the lightlife Smokey strips. It’s definitely worth noting that there was vegan apple pie on the menu, but it was sold out unfortunately. I would definitely eat here again, as it has options for everyone, and I would LOVE to try some of their lunch options, which included a vegetable club sandwich. ALSO worth noting was the excellent service. The people working there were very kind, and the food came out quick.

Wow, the food here was great. As an East Coaster here on vacation, I was surprised to find a place with vegan items--let alone GOOD vegan items--outside of a bigger city. I guess that's California?? Lol.

This little dinner has some vegan options. I like the club one veggie & the tempeh Ruben. The place doesn’t have much in terms of atmosphere but food was solid : )

Vegans Can Eat Here - Edit
Nice little cafe with a few Vegan options. The kind of place a Vegan can go with omnis and not be totally disgusted at the lack of choices. Granted - these folks don't do Vegan well - but they try.
Read moreI had tofu added to my breakfast and it was served unseasoned - cubed and maybe thrown on the grill for 2 minutes. Pretty hilarious actually, and at least they had some braggs so I could pretend it was good.

Cons: Everyone around you is eating gross stuff, except salad your Vegan options will pale

Really good food - Edit
We live in Fort Bragg and therefore get to go to Cafe One fairly often. They will adapt any of their vegetarian items, making them vegan. For breakfast, I love their "Groovy Potatoes", leaving off the cheddar and sour cream but adding veggies and pico de gallo. For lunch, a delicious choice is the Grilled and Filled Portabella sandwich. Again, ask the waiter/waitress to make it vegan if that is your wish. They are friendly and efficient, not fast. The only thing I don't like about Cafe One, is the general noise level, pretty loud from refrigerators and acoustics.
