A vegetarian cafe with vegan options (please inquire). Located up some steep stairs but worth the climb. Casual hippy atmosphere with mattresses & cushions to lounge on, plus a few small tables & chairs. All food is freshly prepared in-house. Offers a large array of hot and cold drinks including juices and smoothies. Has both raw and cooked food. Holds regular film screenings. Open Mon-Sun 7:30am-11:00pm.

Great vegan ice cream - Edit
I’ve only tried the vegan ice cream in this cafe, but I found it very tasty and you could tell it was made with fresh fruit.
Read moreThe cafe is nice, though not really recommended for large groups during warm season, as they only have a small terrace with very few seats.
In the menu there were many vegan options, including pizza.

Not fresh food!!! - Edit
Because of all the good recommendations, we were looking forward to a nice dinner, but instead of good dishes we got not fresh veggies and dishes with less things in it than indicated in the menue. We had to pay 80 rupies for 4 little pieces of extra tofu. The dishes weren't really tasty and we didnt eat together, because the brought all dishes at the different time.

I always like to find quiet places with good food, this place fits the bill. It’s quiet, pleasant and has both vegetarian (including eggs and cheese) and organic vegan menu.

The quality of the food is good, especially for India standards.
Please go and check it out, it does seem to be mostly empty, maybe because people tend to go across the road for the gangees view however those places are usually busy, and like Buddha cafe, people smoke anywhere in the restaurant, quite inconsiderate for non smokers.

My favorite place in Rishikesh! - Edit
During my stay in Rishikesh, I was always in Nirvana. Really chill atmosphere with tables and beds to relax in. Fresh juices, healthy vegan and vegetarian food. My favorite dish was the Nirvana Special Plate (tofu, pan fried veggies, rice and salad). My favorite juice is the Full Power Ashwagandha, so refreshing! They can make any dish vegan, just tell them. Great staff and they also do movie nights at 7:30pm.

This place is a little far from everything, but it's worth the walk. Peaceful and nice environment. Some vegan options available and wifi (even though, just as anywhere in Rishikesh, I wouldn't trust my life to their wifi quality...).

We ate here several times as we liked to food so much. Fresh, organic and with plenty of vegan options, plus they will adapt the vegetarian options to suit you.

The atmosphere is very casual hippy and comfortable on the floor mattresses. The couple of small tables with chairs are very uncomfortable.
This is good food prepared well so expect to wait.
And watch out for the very steep stairs to reach the front door.
