Okay Mac and cheese - Edit
I got the vegan chicken Mac and cheese and it was an okay dish, but it didn’t taste like Mac and cheese. and the noodles are gluten free so they were falling apart everywhere. Over all it was pretty expensive for a low quality meal : (

Lovely People Lovely Options - Edit
They are always kind, working hard, even in the face of of some horrible pompous guests upset about having to catch a ferry. I love that they have vegan options. Many options. And these options are creative.

Lovely food and service - Edit
Went twice, first day I had the soyrizo burger and second time I had the bbq chicken sandwich. Both were delicious and I would recommend either of them. I had the sweet potato chips both times and they were also great.
Read moreOn my first visit I also had a pecan cupcake which was super sweet, highly enjoyed. Staff are very friendly and welcoming too!
Edit: Also stopped in for breakfast on my way back to Seattle, had the breakfast sandwich with sausage which was lovely. Potatos were great.

Great place with lots of vegan options! - Edit
While visiting Olympic National Park I ate here for breakfast twice. I had the vegan sausage gravy and biscuits which were delicious and slightly spicy. I also the vegan breakfast poutine which was also good and slightly spicy. I enjoyed a soy London fog and hazelnut genmaicha too. I also tried the apple coffee cake, peanut butter brownie and the cinnamon roll. The food and drinks were all delicious but the desserts were just okay.

A Must-Stop! - Edit
We ordered the vegan quesabirria and the vegan Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was definitely a homemade Mac so less “cheesy” but very good. I really enjoyed the quesabirria- staff recommended it above the burger if you’re trying to decide! The baked goods selection is vast so prepare yourself. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was relaxing and quaint with lots of historical pictures on the wall and a map that you could add pins to for where you’re traveling from. Our exchange student was particularly excited to add her pin to the map.

So delicious. I wish they were open on Tuesdays we definitely would of been back the next day. BBQ chk sandwiches was one of my favorites. The bbq sauce and coleslaw paired perfectly together. I wish I ordered one to go. My husband loved the jackfruit quesabirria. Wish I could give five stars

Good food but Expensive - Edit
Got the Jackfruit Quesa-Burria and it was so delicious! Lots of vegan friendly options for breakfast or lunch. Plus there’s a ton of vegan pastries. Only con is the price my meal with no drinks or add ons was $20 and almost all the pastries were 7-$8 for small portions.

Great Vegan Options - Edit
I appreciate the delicious vegan options here at New Day Eatery. Very good, homemade, and tasty! As a local in a small town like this, I feel exceptionally lucky. I would give it a 5 star but the app won’t let me because they are not 100% vegetarian/vegan.

Must try if you are in Port Angeles - Edit
As far as I can see there’s not much out there in this town for us vegans but this place has so much! We tried the quesoburria tacos and tofu bahn mi. I enjoyed the tacos a lot and the rice that came with it. My partner is a really sucker for bahn mi’s so he loved it. The really special thing about this restaurant is all the desserts! They have 2 cases filled with them! So naturally we had to get something. We got the espresso cake and I really enjoyed it.

Solid choice - Edit
I did my research prior to coming and knew I would stop here thanks to the great reviews from you, my fellow HappyCow’ers. I’m a biscuits and gravy fan so I was hoping for that, but I arrived after 11am when breakfast concluded. I ended up ordering the Jackfruit Quesabirria and it was delicious! The Consomé complimented the dish well. The plate also came with beans and rice. I’m hoping that on the way back home I can catch this place for breakfast as I need that biscuits and gravy!

Excellent vegan options! - Edit
I did not expect to find this many vegan options, let alone amazing ones, in this area!
Read moreThis place mind as well go fully vegan! There’s so many options on the menu and they’re labeled correctly! Also, basically all the pastries are vegan. when we went there were maybe 2-3 that weren’t, and 10 that were.
The jackfruit quesabirria and jackfruit bbq sandwich was SO good. We also got the chocolate and carrot cake, both great! It was definitely one of the best vegan meals I’ve had in a while!
Pros: Lots of vegan options , Great if you’re on a 101 trip, Options that are worth it

Speedy and friendly service — they even stayed late to make my latte with vegan whipped cream. We got the Mediterranean burger, the quinoa wasabi specialty burger, the smoked mushroom salad and sides of the rosemary sweet potato soup, with a piece of chocolate cake to boot 🤤 all of it was sooooooo delicious!!!! Interesting and flavorful. Would give 5 stars if allowed

Had the Tofu Bahn mi and quinoa Wasabi burger. Yes, and yes. Apparently the quinoa burger was in competition for "best" veggie burger...ever. So, there is that.

Nice Effort - Edit
I went here based on the reviews from this app and the fact that my options were limited in Port Angeles. Due to covid I had to take my order to go and I ordered the tempeh biscuits and gravy which came with potatoes. The biscuits were delicious and I would say the tempeh gravy was a solid effort, but over half of my potatoes were so over cooked they weren't edible. The staff was super friendly and I would like to give this place another chance.

This review is for our 2nd and 3rd times coming here! Whenever we are in town we have to eat here now and this trip we went twice.
Read moreThey are busy! But quick and very kind service. Everyone is really nice and they handle the volume very well!
For lunch Friday, we had the Tofu Bahn Mi and the Veggie Burger (my husband ordered the burger/to be clear it isn’t vegan). We both really enjoyed our meals and developed an addiction to the chips! The house made potato and sweet potato chips are so good!! We also ordered a side of the vegan red pepper aioli dip for the chips and burger and really liked the dip as well - too good! For dessert we grabbed a peanut butter brownie from the baked goods case and had it warmed up - you must try this - so amazing!
For brunch Sunday, we had the Tofu Scramble and the Vegan Hash. My husband didn’t really like the vegan hash all that much, it was fine just no great shakes - he mentioned there was too much potato - maybe if the they were shredded like hash browns it could work better(??). But my Tofu Scramble was bomb! I would highly recommend. And I especially love the potato rounds too. To go we ordered a chai tea latte and cinnamon bun - so delicious again!
Love coming here!

Delicious Breakfast with Several Options - Edit
We stopped in New Day Eatery for breakfast before heading out of the area. They had several vegan options including a special, and the waiter Julien confirmed we were vegan so that the kitchen would know. I got the Tofu Scramble and Cinnamon Apple Coffee Cake, my girlfriend got the special which was a Fall Harvest Hash including housemade tempeh sausage, and a Cinnamon Roll. Everything was absolutely delicious.
