Down-to-earth Georgian cuisine - Edit
Quaint shop with a fireplace. We had the vegetable soup and vegetable ragu. Both were delicious and the amounts were adequate. We didn't specifically ask for vegan, but the cat seemed rather one-sided. The restaurant is very busy, especially with reserved tour groups.

Many vegan/vegetarian options, nice outside seating are - Edit
Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options! We can recommend the eggplant with walnuts, bread with mushrooms, baked beans and roasted mushrooms (not vegan). Nice outside area with sunset and mountain view!

Poor service, average food - Edit
They have the classic vegan options as lobiani (bean pizza), bean dish, mushroom stuff, grilled veggies. Need to mention and ask for vegan options but this place as all others in the region employs many young inexperienced waiters who might not always be super helpful. Though it is one of the 3 places we identified serving vegan options.

Pretty good option - Edit
They had no seats outside available so sat inside. Menu is in English. They have a few soups (including mushroom and vegetable), cornbread, lobiano and lobio.

Tourist’s Mecca with vegan options - Edit
If you have not eaten in Laila - you haven’t been in Mestia. This place is keeping memories and small souvenirs from maybe thousands of tourists who visited Mestia🏔️ That’s why this place has unique vibe of adventures and exploration
Read moreIf we talk about vegan options then we have there the same situation like in other local restaurants - lobiani (bread with beans), Greeley vegetables, salads, lobio (beans soup), eggplants with nuts and etc.
I also want admit a phenomenal professionalism of staff who can manage with such huge amount of visitors almost without any problems 🙏🏻
Pros: Atmosphere 🔥, Lot of seats, Staff

One of my favorite meals ever - Edit
It was sooo tasty. The mushroom bread was the best thing ever. I guess it is all quite expensive if you're a traveler and not on holiday but it was worth it. Wifi too which helps as my internet stopped working as soon as I arrived in zugdidi.
Read moreWe ordered the beans in clay pot, veg Ragu, salad with walnut, mushroom bread ❤️ cornbread and teas. Came to 68 for the two of us (including service charge which they put on at 10%).

Delicious. English waiter. - Edit
I had the beans in a clay pot with Georgian bread (a good vegan option in 90% of Georgian restaurants) and a veggie soup. Promptly served and delicious. A little pricey but worth it with a log fire in the corner.

Yes, wonderful vegan option in Georgia but they also have great Mexican potatoes and grilled veggies and love their clay pot mushrooms.

Long wait but good food. Lots for vegans. - Edit
While the food tasted good (we ordered a lobiani which was HUGE and an eggplant walnut 'salad'), we waited nearly an hour for the lobiani and while I understand they were busy, the table that ordered after us got all their food half an hour before we did. That sucked.
Read moreThe menu seemed to have a good range of other vegan dishes (beets in plum sauce, vegetable stew, lobio, corn bread, and soup) and the prices were really good, so I would probably go again, but just go without an expectation of the food arriving quickly.
Edit: I went again and the food came out quickly this time AND they had the mushroom lobiani-style bread which is a regional dish which happens to be vegan. So happy to have tried it and it went really well with the sour tomato sauce. Also, there was music next door which was great because it's wasn't too loud.

Mushroom bread was lovely, mushroom soup too, but... - Edit
We ordered vegetable Ragu, expecting to get a vegetable pasta of some kind. However, after eating our soup and bread and waiting about another 30 mins, our Ragu arrived.
Read moreWell, it wasn't what we expected, it was a plate of roasted vegetables with balsamic vinegar, which were OK, but quite sour and unexpected.
Pros: Nice fresh stuffed breads , Few vegan options , Lots of friendly stray dogs
Cons: Long wait time for one dish , Gave me the wrong drink flavour
