I really like the place and the atmosphere. I had the small portion of wedges with vegan tsatsiki (mjam) and at the leftover of my colleague's falafel plate which was nice. A bit expensive but the portions are also quite big.

Besonders der vegane Döner hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Aber auch die wechselnde Auswahl an veganen Kuchen ist sehr zu empfehlen. Bei den Pizzen kann mensch den Belag selbst wählen, es gibt auch veganen Käse. Außerdem ist es ein absoluter Wohlfühlort und im Sommer kann mensch schön außen sitzen.

Unser absoluter Favorit ist das Kapsalon. Außerdem ist das Kartoffelgratin richtig gut, besonders der vegane Käse! Auch das vegane Gulasch mit Kartoffelecken war sehr lecker und der hausgemachte Pfirsich-Eistee.

Das vegane Gyros ist super knusprig und hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt.

Read moreIm Kult gibt's fast nur Vegetarisches, das meiste ist vegan oder es gibt es als vegane Option. Es gibt eine feste Karte und wechselnde Gerichte und meist auch vegane Kuchen.
Ich empfehle das vegane Gyros!

Great cozy place offering a wide range of vegetarian and vegan food as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Read moreMeat is only available when it's pizza night on Sundays and Mondays on which you can put together your own pizza or casserole. Vegan cheese (I think they're using Bedda now) as well as vegan chorizo and gyros are available as toppings for example.
On the regular menu you can mostly find vegan meals, some vegetarian ones but most of them can be made vegan as well. Vegan gyros, vegan German roast meat and vegan German schnitzel are incredibly tasty! There's also at least one vegan cake which is changing daily and made in house.
I can also recommend the big breakfast during which you can choose from a wide range of sweet and salty options such as vegan pancakes with housemade hazelnut chocolate spread, vegan croissants from a bakery around the corner or housemade vegan leberwurst (liver sausage).
Pros: many vegan options to choose from , cozy, relaxed, "alternative" atmosphere, staff is incredibly friendly

Vegan and vegetarian options. Good coffee (you have to order the Soya-Cappu in a bowl!). You can build your own breaky, takes a while, but totally worth! Alternative establishment, good beer and daily newspaper to read.

Always worth a visit. Many vegan and vegetarian dishes, they also serve meat. Atmosphere is more like a student bar, not so much a restaurant. Food tastes good, they also serve many options for breakfast. They always play „special“ music :D

Read moreI got there at around 10pm and was served a vegan dürüm. Tasted good. There are quite some vegan options on the menu. Full menu is served till 11pm but you can get some of the menu (and also some vegan stuff) till 1am.

Comfortable College Scene - Edit
Cafe Kult has a laid back feel. Has a small patio in the street with tables and plenty of tables inside. I went on a Sunday night which is pizza/pasta night. The "menu" was triangular-shaped pieces of paper on each table where you'd order your custom pizza or pasta. I created a pizza with spinach, zucchini, leaks, garlic and textured soy protein (can't remember what they called it on the menu but it had "vegan" written next to it). The sauce was delicious, the vegetables very skimpy and the wait (50+ minutes!) way too long. A small pizza and tap water cost me 7 euro. Luckily two amiable local college students helped me figure out the menu (I know very little German) and talked to me while I waited. Good vibe; people talking and people reading philosophy. I was definitely on the old side (mid-40s) in there. Not sure what their menu is like on other nights. A pretty okay meal; didn't go back there during my stay but not sorry I went there my first night.
